About
Willow Glen is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycuan Resort), which also boasts an 18-hole, par-3 course. Nestled in a valley between lush hillsides, the golf courses all offer stunning mountain views. The mountains also help to block the wind, which allows for more agreeable playing conditions. Willow Glen is slightly more challenging than the other championship course due to a hillier terrain and more fairways that are tightly lined with mature pines, oaks, and cottonwoods. The trees shape the landing zones and add definition to the doglegs. Proper placement off the tees is necessary for doing well on this course. Contoured mounding borders the greensides as well as more than 40 bunkers. Water also comes into play on six holes. The 11th through the 15th holes are an impressive stretch that presents a variety of challenges as well as unrivaled scenery.

Really bad shape
Greens in every hole are in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. Unplayable. Massive chunks and holes all over the place.
The price is really high. They should close the course and get it fixed.

The course conditions are some of the worst I’ve seen. All 18 greens are in really really bad shape. The price is way too much for what you get, you can play any other course in SD.

Greens inrough shadier on Willow Glen
Other than the greens the course and facilities were were in great condition. The greens had bare patches and other areas that appeared diseased. They rolled quite slow and not true. Definitely not up to the standards I've come to know there at Sycuan.

Conditions deteriorating
Last month, the fairways were all grass and greens were full (except for #14), today, some bare spots and greens with signs of disease and brown areas, possibly due to under watering. Not worth the full rack rate.

Fun Course
Overall, a fun course with a good layout that will challenge you with different shots. Greens were in great shape. Loved the early morning tee time as the pace of play was great!

Mediocre Golf Course
We played Willow Glen. This is a bare bones golf course. There was a bag drop but no one to man the bag drop. When I checked in the woman asked if I used tee-off and then basically snubbed at it. There was no help in where to go, where restrooms were, putting or chipping areas. Driving range is off mats. (Not included) The putting green, very slow, was not anything like the greens on the golf course. We asked to change carts because ours squealed so loud. The guy in the pro-shop was pretty unfriendly. The course was in OK condition. I would recommend spending money and playing somewhere else. There are much better courses with nicer people.

Not worth the drive or the money
Cant hit driver off several holes, its like a 3 iron course for the first 4 holes. Its a long car drive on crap roads to get to the course. The price is insane. So all that equals not worth it. Maybe oak glen is better, we'll see. Someday...
Great desert golfing amid rolling hills, blue skies
Challenging course, but very gratifying. Wish the creek had water, but many water hazards were loudly present. Some hills to negotiate, signs arose about possible bee hive hazard and two holes with snake sightings.

Nice course but had a few issues
This was our first time playing this course as we are from out of state. We got a great deal ($50) a person so we gave it a try. Course condition was good but pace of play was horrible. Waited 5-10 minutes on every hole. Driving range was turf and had no place to hit a driver. Several driving range boxes were missing the turf tees so you were unable to warm up with driver. I overheard some regulars stating they bought their own since they were always missing. Will try a new course next time in town

Course is in good shape
Course is in good shape although greens are pretty slow. Seemed like more drunk hacks than usual and didn’t see any Marshall’s which probably had to do with the slow pace of play, but what are you gonna do
