About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Course is in great shape
Have played here a couple times before on trips to HH. Course was in as good a shape as I'd ever seen it. Recommend if you want to play off island.
Nice course for the money
We enjoyed playing this course. It had a few maintenance issues but for the most part it was in good shape. I would definitely play it again.

Fairways were bad greens were worse layout was just stupid no cart girls would never play there again but staff is super nice

Friendly staff, Nice course and Great Value!! Will def come here again versus other courses that are near the big resorts and cost almost triple.
Great course
The course was in great shape other than a few cart paths. There is a ton of water thru out the course. The grass around the fairways are tall and you will lose balls if you roll thru the fairway to the outer cut. The course is very challenging. I couldn’t reach the par 4’s in two shots from the white tee. Overall nice course to play , not super crowded and beautiful scenery. Great staff!
Good value
Course was on decent condition. Nice mix of challenging holes and open fairways. It was freshly mowed after several days of rain They were also using a fertilizer on the fairways which appeared as round white foam which made it harder to identify my ball. An inconvenience but not an every day problem. I will be sure to play it again.

Coming together
All has improved on this course since I first played it 6 months ago. They are putting the money where it needs to go, greens, greenside, Fairways and tees. It is a little rough around the edges, so, keep it in the fairway and don't miss the greens by too much.

Staff was friendly and the course was challenging but fun!
Getting there
Most of the greens are slow but in good shape. 3/4 greens have bald patches on them.
Tee boxes are much improved. Bunkers are decent. Fairways are better than they were but still lag behind most of the courses in the lowcountry.
You can see they are trying but still have a way to go. Still one if the best layouts in the lowcountry.
Wifi was not working. Cash only, No credit card.
6/10 for me.

Great condition for the dry conditions. Pace moved along swiftly. Highly recommend

Course conditions were mediocre but improvements were being made. The course layout was very fun and challenging. I would recommend this course to anyone traveling to the Hilton Head area!
