Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Great layout! #2 & #9 top par 3 holes!

We played with a member and got the rundown on how the course has been recovering from a previous poor owner. It’s in decent shape though! I really enjoyed the challenging layout, the toughest I’ve played on the Island from the back tees. Give the new owner and superintendent another 6-12 months and I think the course will be in tip top shape again. #2 and #9 are two really tough par 3’s! We’ll be back!

Great day playing golf with our son and his friend. We were able to play and coach the kids without feeling rushed. Thank you.

Solid

Tough course, a GPS on the cart would be nice or better scorecard to show the layout better. Otherwise I enjoyed playing it, the scenery, and the price for an Arnold Palmer course.

New ownership clearly making lots of improvements. Great Arnold Palmer Signature Course. Excellent value in the market. Very friendly staff. Older reviews don’t reflect the quality now!

Beautiful Course Layout

Believe this course is now under new ownership. Will definitely add this course to our golf lineup for each vacation visit to the Hilton Head area. Two or three greens were receiving a little love but that can be the expectation this time of the year when the heat index is constant. The course itself is a beautiful layout and will challenge you to play every club in your bag. Actually believe the guy behind the cash register this particular day could’ve been the owner. He offered us a better price than GolfNow and we had some quick conversation regards landscaping. The cart return attendant encouraged us to drive our bags out to our car. Not exactly the same experience the day before at a different course regards the cart return. Had a gr8t outing here!

Great layout

Great layout had a couple greens that were struggling but looked like they were coming around. Didn’t affect play and the rest of the course was in good shape. Fun layout and friendly staff. Pace was bad on the back as they started a. Shotgun scramble while we were on 11. At 10 am on a Tuesday… other than that it was all good

Great Golf Course when at HHI.

The course was in good condition and hole layout suited my game! Lots of water and sand but easy to navigate. Fairways were nice and the greens putted true.

Great course for the money! Save yourself some money and play here!

It’s fine…

Course was fine. First out so pace of play was great. Some of the greens are beat up. Cart paths are atrocious - feels like your teeth are going to rattle out of your head driving.

I liked it

For the money around HH it’s hard to beat. It’s not a wide open course and I didn’t need the driver. The greens weren’t great. All in all it was a fun round.

restoration in progress

Crescent is a good course that has it's challenges backed with a beautiful low country scenery . The staff is in progress of restoring the greens. The greens weren't perfect but they were in good shape. The only one currently suffering was #18. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Really like this course and plan to return.

Back Again

I had not played here for 21 years and was very curious to play again knowing the course had been under various ownership groups.

I was pleasantly impressed with the layout and conditions. The greens were fast and overall the conditions were good. The value was incredible knowing that if you were on HH island, it would be significantly more expensive.

I will definitely play again and enjoyed the course even though it was my worst scoring round of the year. Enjoy it!
