Stoneybrook East Golf Course
About
Located in Central Florida, Stoneybrook East Golf Course is a championship course that has all the signatures of classic Florida golf courses. Although traditional in design there are some modern elements that lend to the overall challenge of the course. The large fairways are naturally tree-lined and the generous greens are multi-tiered and undulating. The green are also immaculately kept. Preserved wetlands and waterways create hazards that come into play on a few holes. There is also abundant wildlife on the course. Stoneybrook East Golf Course features three sets of tees.

Getting better
The greens are in good shape
Fairways are ok around the greens they need improvement in this area
But overall is getting better and the fee for the week play looks fair
Greens need repair
Overall nice course - hidden gem. Front Nine Greens need attention now...really in bad shape.
Greens - front nine
Greens on the Front Nine are in really bad shape now!
Stonybrook East is in the best condition I’ve seen it in years!
The maintenance staff is doing a great job from tee to green. Tee boxes, and fairways all in excellent shape. Outside of a few minor wet areas nothing to complain about. The greens rolled well though they did have just a few weeds and old ball marks, but not bad at all.
Rain
It started raining hard after the 3rd hole, so I went home, lost my tee time money, golfnow is not flexible getting your money due to rain, sad.
back in my schedule
the course is looking pretty good again...certainly worth playing once a month or if you have never been worth checking out...lots of water, jungle and tricky shots...miles of cart path...new carts which were quite comfortable...if your first time, turn in just past the fire station don't go to the main gate with the guard house..they had foot joy shoes on sale for $69...good price
Nice open fairways
Loved the open fairways. In pretty much great shape. Bunkers all soaked and filled with water. Some tee boxes were in rough shape but majority were playable. Was playing as a single and moved through the course with ease. Will definitely be back
Great track with lots of room for improve
What a great layout, lots of solid bones. Greens pretty good, all other green areas are mostly crab grass. This includes tees, fairways and chipping areas. From a guest perspective would a couple of water stations and ball washers per nine be too much to ask? 100 plus range ball in the first fairway, not a great first impression.
Not worth the money.
Tee time 10:10 a.m. on a Sunday, $45 per person. The first red flag should have been how empty it was on such a nice morning. We played a 4-person scramble. I feel I could have made a better fairway in my backyard while doing the bare minimum for maintenance. The greens were also abysmal with dead patches everywhere. We still played on and made the best of it. Unfortunately, we ended up getting rained out on hole 16. As we returned to the clubhouse, it was a torrential downpour. I cut through the parking lot in the cart so I could put my clubs in the car in an attempt to keep everything from getting soaked. I had my girlfriend bring the cart to the covered area in front of the entrance to the clubhouse while I met her with the car. This is where she was verbally accosted by “the wife of the manager” because we had the cart in the parking lot. I understand they have a rule about carts in the lot, but considering the circumstances with the rain and how we were one of 6 cars in the lot, I figured they’d be understanding. So if you enjoy paying high prices for a sub-par course and being treated like dog water by the management’s family, then this is the course for you! If you, like most sane golfers, don’t want to deal with that and get the most of your money, then I’d highly recommend going to just about any other course in central Florida. If I could give half a star, I would. Will not be returning!
Everyone knows that you ask the proshop for a raincheck. Golfnow just secures tee times.
