About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Fun course
The overall layout of course is fun. Not a lot of players during the week so the pace to keep the game going is good. My only gripe is the condition of some fairways and the driving range has balls going onto the fairway on the front 9. Overall fun time and the staff is very friendly.
This course is great for a few reasons - the price is right for a course with long holes, they take some of the latest tee time in the area so you can get out after work and the course isn't typically busy then. I've gotten in 18 by myself in less than 2.5 hours after work.
The first 3 holes are a little wonky as they are close to the driving range and its easy to lose a ball out of bounds in the range but the other 15 are great.Hit our miss on fairway conditions but its also been a tough year for rain and I haven't played in the area during a good rain season yet
Course condition
I have been playing this course for the past 13 years seen various owners but this is the worst conditions I have ever seen. The T boxes were horrible no plate to place tee to hit.
Workers disregarded players on the course by not allowing players to play through. Bad Bad.
Fun track, great value, great short game area
Hard to beat the value of this course. It is not in great condition but to the average golfer it has some really interesting holes. This is my home course during the winter and the pace of play can be slow but definitely worth the price.
First Visit
I knew from the layout there would be hills and quite a lot of uneven ground. It was quite challenging. The condition of the greens were fine but what really bothered me was how the fairways were not taken care of. It was my first visit and even though the price for a round was fairly low, I'm not planning on playing there again because of the fairways and the travel distance from Kissimmee.
Really like this track, challenging with water on every hole but fun to play. Have played many times and look forward to playing again....
Highlands Reserve
The course is in great shape. The management has made great strides in improving the course by putting new sod on all the greens and rebuilding a few of the troublesome greens. Additionally, great work had bees done on the sand traps and greens.
Decent value for Florida
A very dry winter season meant this course like many is quite patchy in the fairways on some holes. Just lift clean and place the ball though, no wuckers. Greens are old style Bermuda and grainy but decently tended to. A bit slow for a scratch player but perfect for average chops. Range has decent targets, a small grass area in addition to old mats, and there's a nice chipping area with sand buckets for divots set up at ~30-50-90 yards, which is rare. Carts are quality and gas. Course layout is interesting with great elevation changes atypical of Florida except this Lake Country area. It's a decent test and fun for all golfers. Staff is super nice.
A bit rougher than in the past
The fairways are 40% sand/dirt, 60% grass. The tees are the opposite. You can find places to play from, but you need to move the ball on almost all lies. The greens are usually very good at GV but this day they were longer and grainier. It was a fun day and a good value with a hot deal at $39. The staff and restaurant were great.
Great Value at this time of year!
Golf prices in Florida at present are so expensive so it was a bonus to find a golf course that was not being greedy with their prices! Well worth the money.
