About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Drying out
Course seems to be needing a bit more water but still worth playing and great value for the money.
The greens for the most part were pretty good. Most of the tee blocks were lacking grass, including the par 3's. Some of the fairways the grass was bad especially the first few holes. Pace of play was about 4 hours.
Wish they would repair the fairways and tee boxes
I like this course but the fairways and tee boxes are in need of a complete makeover, Soil, Seed and Water would help considerably. This is a challenging layout with large undulating greens. The staff are welcoming and friendly BUT it is the course that needs a lot of love. To get this back to a good course rating significant dollars and labour are needed...and soon, before the conditions can't be saved. The only reasons that I play Green Valley (and I will return) are the low price, the convenient location to my winter home and I am challenged by the condition of it to score well.
A worthwhile play
Enjoyed the day at Green Valley. Have played this course as a snowbird many years while in the area. This year found the greens to be very good as a result of a good overseeding job. Tee boxes are mostly absent of grass but we tee the ball up so not a major issue. Fairways are below average in condition as the overseeing appears very spotty. We moved our ball around to hit off grass from time to time. The condition of the greens saved the day for us. Plan to make this one of our go to spots this year. For the price this course is good value.

Greens are in way better shape than a year ago - no weeds in the Greens!!

Good value for the money. This course was in bad shape a year ago but the new management is doing good things. Would definitely play again.
