Green Valley Country Club
About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Poor.
Had to wait 45 mins for a cart, 10 mins late for tee time. Course poor, in need of lots of work to improve to even decent standard. Won’t be back.
Rough - friendly staff
This course is in really rough shape, from tee boxes to greens to range. Need some money put in it. Staff was very friendly
Nice course, will play here again
Greens and bunkers in great shape. A few of the tee boxes were dirt or sand. Staff very friendly. Good value.
Enjoyed course although had booked the wrong day and when. Phoned to change to next day cost a extra$30. Just wanted to switch dates person was not helpful at all.
nice layout
Tee decks were chewed up. Fairways had too many leaves on. Hard to see ball at times on fairways. Nice elevation changes and routing around lake.
Poor in all aspects
Checked in before 11:30 for a 12:00 tee time - no carts available. Had to wait until people finished their round and returned a cart. Given a cart at 12:10 ! Greens and tees very poor, unable to find grassed area level enough to use on most tees. Won’t be back.
Good course, some Tee boxes are rough . You will enjoy playing there. First three (3) are tricky to follower.
Sad decline of Green Valley GC ?
Course is in the worse condition we have played it in 4 years. This was our go to course at great value. The current Rac rate is trying to capture peak season golfer frenzy but the course sadly is not at that level. Bare fairways with sand lies and unlevel tees continue to be the main frustration. Plus golfers are allowed repeatedly to off from the 10th (for 9 holes) to ramp up revenue which hold up earlier 18 hole groups.
Loved the course - get it back
Green Valley not so green
This course has so much potential. The greens were maintained and fair but “hard” to the point that divots which would typically result from a ball with backspin left no mark. Cosmetically, the previous pin placements were obvious with many having a depression. The fairways were very dry, lack of watering or dormant grass, couldn’t tell? Lots of dead leaves in and bordering many of the fairways, could have been blown into piles and collected making course more playable. Our group plays public courses and would rate this course average for a public course, significantly below average for a private or semi private country club.on the day we played it. We weren’t aware of the snack bar at the turn ( with very nice staff) until we were at the turn, it would be nice for first timers to be advised upon check in. Nice to have a driving range to warm up at, even nicer to have more balls than were available (about 20 for the four of us). The starter was great giving us good guidance info at the first T. All in all, an average course which could be so much better. I hope this review is taken as constructive criticism rather than as a negative rant.
Rough shape
First four holes were in bad shape. Back 9 better shape. Most tee boxes in poor shape. Greens best part of course. This course has seen better days.
Slow play!
Disappointed, we only got in 9 holes. It would’ve been a 5 hour round. Tee’d off around 2:10pm, got through 9 holes around 4:30pm, and decided to leave. Last 3 holes took 20+ minutes.
Course was nice. Just wish we could have enjoyed the time there.
While greens were OK and there are some good holes the condition of tees and fairways were very average.
Drying out
Course seems to be needing a bit more water but still worth playing and great value for the money.
