About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Not bad for the price
All the courses in my area are falling into disarray. This one is no better or no worse than most.
The better maintained courses in this area are too expensive for me. So, this is what I can afford, and I accept that. Ain't retirement great??
Fun course
This course is a lot of fun and is in good condition. Some areas are still under repair but they have done a great job with most of the fairways, greens, and bunkers.
Green Valley Great Layout
Love playing this course. However it is a work in progress. They are working on tee boxes and greens. Some of the fairways and roughs are a little hairy but we don't look or play pristine courses. If you like hills this is the place to play.

U can See work being done on golf course new sos some sections fairway and tee boxes. LOT AREAS ROPED OFF AROUND GREENS AND TEE BOXS HOPEFULLY EVERYONE WILL PAY ATTENTION GETTING IT READY FOR SNOW BIRDS WITH DEEP POCKETS TO MAKE SOME DENERO FOR COURSE
Well worth the cost.
The tee boxes starting to get into much better shape. The fairways and greens are in pretty good shape with slight weed growth on both in spots but overall a really good value!
Better than before
Conditions on the course have improved except for the rough-too much time spent looking for balls-nir everyone hits it straight everytime & many fairways are not that wide plus blind shots on several 2nd shots-yoy have direction of ball but when you can't see it land & the rough is up & certainly not manicured or cut evenly, it makes it a long day
Greens were much improved except for a couple that were still bumpy but for the most part putted very smoothly-
Green Valley-Good greens, Fun
I haven’t played Green Valley in probably 5 years. Played the front 9 recently and was pleasantly surprised. Don’t understand the bad reviews. Staff drove a cart to my car to load up my clubs. Easy experience. This is Summer in Florida. Weeds grow. Don’t nitpick. Fairway and greens for the most part were good. I had fun.
Not Worth "You Get What You Pay For"
There was a great deal for this place, and I knew going in it was "you get what you pay for" situation. Frankly, it doesn't even deserve that.
This course is so run down that it shouldn't even be open. The tee boxes are awful. There are no fairways. Just grass with less weeds. The greens for the most part are actually the best part.
It is not even playable. There is no rough. Just grass with more weeds. I don't get how anyone could let this course get in such bad shape.
This layout has a ton of potential. There are some really great hole designs here, but they are ruined by the atrocity of the conditions. I'm not a golf snob by any means. I have played on some rough courses, but this was probably the worst course conditions I have ever seen. Don't bother until they close to refurbish because there is no way to get this course in shape while it is open.
Great local course!
I've been looking for some local courses that are fun to play and not overpriced - this is it. I had a great time playing the course and would recommend it to anyone.
Good Value
Staff was friendly. Greens, bunkers, and tees were good. Fairways were ok, but some weeds outside the fairways.
Some interesting holes. I will play here again.
Genuinely impressed
This place has always been my “practice round” or quick 9 due to course conditions and greens. Took a couple months off from here and finally came back with some buddies. The greens are 10000% better than the last time I Played. Zero bare/dirt spots like before. Iv payed way more for way worse greens. 4 out 5 stars solely because it’s no Bella Colina, but dang it’s wayyyy better than it was.

It’s a great family friendly golf course that has great rates. The staff always goes above and beyond to accommodate a variety of golfers. A lot of work has recently gone into this course to improve fairways and greens!
