Green Valley Country Club
About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Feel Bad for Home Owners
I played this course 9 years ago and it wasn't that bad, a good value so I thought I go back....I always look for good greens which they had back then...I think they were new. Fairways don't have to be great because you usually can find a green spot in the fairway to hit from but this was really bad (on 14 holes). I feel sorry for the home owners who live in the community and let this happen to their course....it's bad and confusing to why they let this happen....can't add value to homes that's for sure. If you're any kind of golfer you'll be disappointed with the conditions.
Great layout
Really refreshing to play on an undulating course in Florida. The course has some excellent features and is excellent value for money. The staff in the clubhouse are always friendly and give a great welcome.
Disappointed
I have played this course several times over the years and nothing has changed in 8 years. They don't seem to care that most of the fairways are just dirt and weeds. It doesn't matter of it's summer or winter the course always looks the same. Before I didn't mind so much but now you raised your prices to almost double so I would expect the course then to be in much better condition. I would not recommend this course for the price to anyone until to make changes.
Course conditions
Front nine not in great shape. Back nine much better condition.
Tee boxes need work, very chewed up.
Very average
This was the first time I played Green Valley. As I read in a previous review, the first four holes are pretty much a mess but as you move forward the conditions improve. There are some very nice holes in the back 9. The signage on the course is non existent. We got lost three times and had to ask other golfers where certain holes were.
extreme greens.
greens are nearly impossible, especially if you hit above the hole. They're actually too fast. The course needs some work, which appears to be started. The tee boxes are in need of improvement.
Green Valley
We played this course on Sunday. The staff were friendly especially the ladies in the restaurant where we enjoyed lunch afterwards. This could be a really good course if the leaves were lifted and the fairways received some TLC.
Pace of play was good., 3 of us played 18 holes in 4 hours exactly. At 50 dollars it was quite expensive, but then it is Florida.
