Green Valley Country Club

Although this course is short it has some rather challenging par 3's. due to lack of rain the course was not in the best of shape but should be good by end of June... assuming it rain normally.

I am new to the area and this was my first time at this course. The course layout was interesting and fun. Fairways and greens are in very rough shape. I realize they have had little rain recently so hopefully that is the reason. I would surely like to play this course again but would wait for conditions to improve. Staff friendly. Other golfers courteous and friendly. This could be a go to course.

Played here on a Sunday morning (May 2021). The course was in horrendous shape. The grass in my front yard at home would be more conducive to golfing than this course was. The staff were very friendly, and there were zero other issues than the course being in bad shape. We paid a little over $30 per person for 18 holes. I would suggest going somewhere else for that price.

This course used to be beautiful. Bow it is trash. The fairways are filled with weeds and the greens were dry like the dessert and really no green on them. Im so upset on the state of this course. What an embarrassment to the Green Valley neighborhood. I wouldn't pay 10 bucks to play this course again. Extremely disappointed. They need to focus on bringing the course back to playable conditions. It was a joke. Come on... I know covid happened but it's ridiculous.

We had not played the course for 6 or 8 months so I was very surprised that the overall condition had deteriorated as much. This course used to be a good value. I know they had aerated greens recently so I give the the benefit of the doubt. But tee boxes were in terrible shape. Fairways as a whole were bad. Some of the tee boxes it felt like teeing off out of a bunker. The staff there is always friendly and helpful. I hope they bring the course back.

The course is in extremely poor condition due to lack of watering and very little rain the past few weeks. Had I been informed of the lack of grass in the fairways and roughness of the greens I would have played a different course and planned to play here next year. Hopefully conditions will improve as I have always enjoyed playing Green Valley.

Was looking forward to playing as we haven't played the course for several months, it was a mistake. The tee boxes were weeds and dirt, fairways were thin and weedy, the greens were so bumpy from being just dirt and weeds, hardly any grass. This was a fun course before and earlier it looked like they were making it better, they must have run out of money and water for the grass.

Fairways in poor condition, as were the greens. Will play again, when course is in great condition again.

The greens were terrible because they had just been aerated. About half of the fairways are very rough. The overall course is a great layout. A tremendous amount of work needs.to be done on the fairways and greens. It was interesting and enjoyable and is a bargain for the price.

Aerated greens , soft & a bit slow but other than that Enjoyable play

The staff are just really god people. The course though is in poor shape. I really don't know which is worse, the greens or fairways. There have to be better choices for 23 dollars. I will continue to look.

Greens were at a zero not 1star. Absolutely no warning from GOLFNOW or the course. Aerification alert was missing. $27 for non-puttable greens. Sometimes you just have to let go and use some water to actually water your course. Very disappointed

Green Valley is typically in decent shape, but they apparently have been having well/pump issues and haven't been watering (at least not the front). Then they punched the greens, but it looks like they must have also sprayed them and killed a bunch of grass. The green were pretty much nothing but sand and weeds, and I would estimate the putting surfaces cost players a minimum of 6-8 strokes. Tee boxes and fairways are poor, but the greens are honestly unplayable. Given the conditions of the greens, I would close the course until they recover - and I expect that is still several weeks from now. I played about 2 weeks ago and the course was between poor and ok, but now I would avoid. Shame that a course that has a good layout (after the first few holes) and was in such good shape last year has turned into the mess I played this past weekend.

This course is in terrible shape. Tee boxes are uneven and essentially dirt... maybe a blade of grass here and there, but for the most part dirt. On a few holes sprinkler heads were gushing water causing floods on certain fairways. Greens were lacking grass as well making it difficult to gauge the speed of the greens. Everywhere you look you see neglect and lack of maintenance. The only positives worth mentioning: super fast carts and cute bartenders.

Course was in great shape! Layout is fun and challenging, wildlife is amazing as well. SOLID 5 STARS all around! Great job Deer Island !
