About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Greens are starting to improve tees and some fairways need help
Under Repair?
Lots of tee boxes with sand. A lot of sand! Talked to maintenance guy who said it’s the first time they did it and he wasn’t 100% sure why. Sort of a mix of holes. 6 & 7 were my favs. Fairways are bare in some areas. Is that typical Florida winter golf? I’ll prob go back now that I know the layout. Staff was super friendly.
Elevation Changes
I love the design of this course, using the natural elevation changes to create unique holes. The greens ran true and the pin positions created challenges that were fair to an average golfer. Several of the tee boxes were sanded down, presumably to aid repair. A few fairways are spotty. Overall fair challenges playing from white or yellow.
Course Condition
Course conditions were a little rough. Tough winter. Pace of play good. Great value for the money. Course staff very friendly and accommodating.
Over-priced
Way to expensive for poor quality course. Tee boxes & fairways had spar e grass. I now its early winter but I have sen other courses with lush fairways.
More sand
There was more sand on the tees than in the bunker's

Same Old Course
So I ha e played this course several times over the years and my reviews are usually the same. I don't understand why this course is always in the same poor condition weather it's summer or winter. Most of the tee boxes are terrible hardly any grass and most of the rough is the same way. This time while we were playing the 2nd hole we had someone from the course had the nerve to tell us good golfers are behind us and we need to move quicker. Like I said it was hole number 2 and the group ahead of us was just leaving the greens while we were hitting our 2nd shot. We actually finished play in 3 in a half hrs so what was the rush for. The charged pretty much what other courses in the area are charging so if you have the opportunity play somewhere else.
Quality Course.
Gave lower than usual course conditions bc we haven't had any rain in almost 2 months here, but love the layout, very challenging. Being in Florida you something forget how to play a course that has elevation changes.

A fun but challenging course. Some really well designed holes!
