Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course

About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Good for playing golf
It is very easy for play golf with friends, nice place and services, we are enjoying it, we love it!
Could be better
Tees are in rough conditions. Greens need allot of care. You can’t get a true roll. Ranger is needed to speed up players.
Always a fun track
King's Ridge. like several courses in the Clermont area is different from most Florida golf courses because it has some elevation changes. On one hole you are hitting blind to the fairway due to the rising terrain in front of the tee. On a few you get an elevated tee. The eighteenth is one of the elevated tees with large waste areas left and right, an some fairly tall trees along the ideal line, the elevated tee gives you an opportunity to hit it high and far.
Some of the greens were being repaired with sod inlays around the edges, as long as adjustments were made for balls in those areas the course was in good shape. The greens seemed somewhat slow, but, given the slope (in some cases immediately around the pin) that is probably a good thing.
I don't get up to Clermont that often, but this is always a fun course to play when if the area.
Going down hill
Course use to be really nice and kept in shape… now there are a several holes that are really rough, from fairways to the greens. Also there isn’t a ranger out there anymore to control the pace of play. Some kids were playing 2 and 3 balls in front of me. I tried Calling over and over but bc they don’t have direct number anymore to pro shop, the customer service reps at call center kept asking me to call back. Came back around for back nine and stopped in and no one could help bc they didn’t have anyone to ride the course.
We enjoyed playing
The greens were in rough shape. There is no water provided on the course 😭 outside of that we enjoy playing this course. Like the layout. Plus being Summertime we had the course to ourselves 😜
not worth the bother
Course looks good from the highway but once you are on it you realize it's not t5hat good.
Greens are terrible, fairways marginal and tees very spotty.
Nice layout, very green, but so are the weeds.
Pro Shop wasn’t open to check in… employee was late, poor guy working the carts was doing his best to accommodate the people showing up. The course itself is cozy but also had wide fairways. Very green which is nice but fairways and greens had a ton of weed growth with no signs of weed control. Nothing else to complain about, was enjoyable overall. Should be a discount level green fee in current condition and with staff issues. May try again in future but no reason stood out to return anytime soon.
Love needed
All in all a great course. Ranger is needed to speed up the pace of play. Greens need some grooming. Could not get a true roll, too bumpy and to many bare patches. I love playing here.
Disappointed
Always enjoy playing Kings Ridge hadn’t played in awhile and was looking forward to it Tee boxes were pretty rough fairways had a lot of weeds Greens were long grass and bumpy just take 2 putts and move on hopefully there’s a plan to bring this course back but as of now I’d play elsewhere
Slow Greens & Rough Fairways
Not up to par. I realize that they grow the greens a little more in the summer to protect them from the sun and heat but they were really slow and not too great. There were a lot of areas in the fairway and rough that had no grass so it looks like they don't care as much in the off season.
I missed playing t his course.
It's been awhile - since my husband passed. KR-C is our favorite course It actually felt good playing by myself until it started to rain.
It's been awhile...
My husband and I used to play KR-C...our favorite course a lot. He became I'll and passed 2 years ago. It been at least 3 years since I played the Championship course...I pay the executivewith my girl friends. Today I played by myself in his memory and I had a good time by myself until it started raining...13th hole. I will be going back again.
Not worth what we paid
And put your have played here many times and course was in good condition today we played the greens were terrible slowest. I’ve played on in a long time. Dead spots everywhere. Tea boxes were horrible. No grass almost looks like golf course is going out of business. Would not recommend this even to a Sunday Hacker
