Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

First time playing!
Tee boxes need some work. Greens rolled true, some spotty invasive grass/weeds. For the money, great place to play!
I generally like the course. It is in pretty good shape except for some tee boxes that are rather bare. Greens are in real good shape.
Personally I like them a little faster.
Price is very good.
Average condition
Tees and fairways need some work. Conditions are a little rough on some areas.
Slow Play Killed the Day
Take a nice course like Kings Ridge and a beautiful sunny day to play golf and the slow play killed the day. It should not take five hours to play KR. The absence of a RANGER or PLAYER ASSISTANT makes for slow play. How much could it cost to put a RANGER on the course from 10:00am to about 3:00pm to see that play keeps moving. Also some the the pin placement on the greens are ridiculous, on side of mounds, at the edge of slope, which makes for many three and four putts. Great course but needs attention.
Drying up
Overall the course was good, but the greens were drying out , had some foreign grass growing, and were not smooth. The layout is excellent, the course challenging, and there is an ample selection of tee blocks for all golfers. Ours was a 4 hour round, mid-day, and although a little slow at times, quite acceptable. Could have used a beverage cart or at least been told it was not operating in advance.
Try to play here whenever in the area. Never disappoints.
Kings Ridge
Somewhat disappointed with course conditions. Greens were slow, bumpy and holes not well cut. Fairways were okay, but tee boxes are beginning to thin. Course has gone downhill in a matter of a few weeks. Staff needs to be vigilant, or course could revert to former self. Love the layout and it is one of my go to courses. However, conditions need to improve.
Great Day
Great weather, great course conditions, nobody in front of me and nobody pushing up on me!
Course is in very good condition, the staff is friendly and the carts are fairly new. If you have not golfed here, give it a chance.
Excellent course in great condition
We played here as two groups of 3 and all agreed that it was great. The course has a challenging but not crazy difficult layout and suits mid-handicap golf very well. Low handicappers should enjoy it too as there are some good long holes. Some of the par 3s are short and well birdiable! Anyway, staff were very friendly and shop is well stocked. Hire clubs were rather poor so I’d recommend hiring elsewhere if possible. Hence only 3* for off course amenities.
Interesting course
We played this course for the first time and found it interesting especially the 18th hole. The staff were friendly and the price very good. My only criticism was the tees were not in good condition and in some places were bald. The greens were challenging although some of the pins should have been moved as the area around them was quite worn.
Great Place
The course was in great shape and reasonably priced compared to many other courses. The staff was friendly. A must play when you are in the area.
Pleasantly surprised
Haven't played here in 5 years, but the course is in great shape and a good deal for the price. The greens are very undulating and challenging, but smooth and fair.
