Tributary at River Strand Golf and Country Club

This course is a real test with water and sand everywhere, but it is beautifully maintained and the greens are in nice shape and very fast. This is the second consecutive time I have played this track where the pace of play has been tortuously slow (4.5 and 4.75 hrs.) Staff is friendly and seemed attentive to our concerns but nothing changed. We waited on EVERY shot. It seems like the course has decided to allow slower players to set the pace and not intervene. I won't be going back unless I hear that River Strand has addressed this problem.

Course in good condition, tests all aspects of game.

This course deserves 5 stars. Plenty of different holes. Some challenging some less. Great hazard locations, a very good design.
Course condition, there is nothing bad to say about it. Fast greens and very undulated!, Fairways top, Tee boxes top.
Played this many times and it was always in perfect condition.
Currently only draw back is the construction noise everywhere from the condos beeing built.
A must play, no doubt!

Upon our arrival bags were remopved from trunk by the attendant. Staff in the golf shop were friendly and helpful. Snack bar people were nice. The starter was very helpful, friendly and a credit to the club. The drink cart girl was fun, effecient, and appeared on a regular basis. The course was in very good shape, greens were consistent, fast, true, and well cared for, fairways were consistent and relatively plush. we had the course to ourselves with only a 3 some in front and we play in 3.5 hours. Rate was most acceptable

Great place to play in the Bradenton area. Real value for your money.

A fantastic setting and great facilities. Course was in great shape and was a very tough but largely fair challenge. The greens were the hardest part - difficult to hit and hold on, lightninhg fast and difficult to read. All in all a great day out.

Nice course, but slow. It took us close to 5 hours to finish 18 holes. You need to know what shots to hit on every hole.

I always look forward to a round here. I like the wayt he course keeps you thinking as each hole seemst o have its own personality that keeps you on your toes. It keeps from getting routine like smoe courses do. The course is in very good shape from tee to green. My only negative is that there's construction going on in various areas that seem to be turning this course into a house/condo lined trip with less open space around the holes.

Having played this course several times, I find it one of the best maintained in the area. Great practice areas and staff add to the experience.

Only complaint was poorly managed starting times and ranger management of the course.

One of the best in the area! I've played it many times. Green stimps 10.8-11.9, slick and true! Here and UPark are the best staff & starters around. All areas of the course are well maintained. 3 9's offer 3 different difficulty levels. Few courses deserve 5 stars. This one does.

I was impressed with the course condition. After playing a couple of courses in the area that were sub par condition wise, it was nice to play a course in great shape. The only negative about the course is that the greens are "tricked up" to repel balls towards bunkers. No need for that but just know that going in.

Great condition as always.11+ stimp on greens which were flawless except for previous player's divots. Now building 300 more homes so the country feel is fast evaporating. Success is good but I liked playing when there were few houses and a trailer for a clubhouse - those were the days.

River Strand is a very nice course. It is in great shape, even right now when it has been very dry and other courses are suffering. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I always thoroughly enjoy playing here, and will continue to do so in the future.

this course is much nicer and in better shape than most of the other courses in the area. the other courses are in poor winter condition and/or overplayed. River Strand looks green with tees fairways and greens in good shape. So, tho not pristine is a pleasure to play. Was pleasantly surprised to be offered complimentary range balls. Staff was welcoming, but I was underwhelmed with their enthusiasm.
