Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

cant say much for the course. hopefully soon, they need to take care for the course cause the place is nice to play. the course have a lot of nice looking holes. would play the course again.
Wet, Soggy Day
Played the old dump after days of rain and when most courses closed they stayed open. It was a cart path only day and boy was that smart. This was probably the wetest course I've ever played. It's a fun track with some some elevation changes not found in our county. However given it's limited space it's pretty forgiving due to parallel fairways that bail out your errant drives. The staff was really nice and open to us coming back in if we felt it was too wet to play. But with little kids at home, a day of wet golf is still better than diaper duty. I'd say avoid it on wet days or after days a rain however if you're serious about your game.
Park Ridge Review
The course is different for South Florida, the layout was interesting and the greens were in excellent condition. Now keeping it REAL it was like playing on one big SPONGE, it was cart path only and I know why, you could split the middle of the fairway and then have to search for your ball...plug city. Also I found the staff to be a bit surly, for a course that was that quiet, I thought the staff could of been a bit friendlier.
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. With the rain we have had over the last month, we have had to resort to cart path only on several days and are sorry to hear that your visit was on one of these days. More importantly, we are saddened to hear that your interaction with our staff was less than stellar. We will share your comments with our staff and re-enforce to them our expectations when it comes to customer service.
Decent course
I played the Park Ridge on a very rainy day. Course was flooded and playability was low. There is also heavy renovation going on at the premises (does not affect to play but facilities are under construction). For a Florida course it had nice and hilly look with quite a few surprises.
Thank you for reviewing Park Ridge. We are currently in the process of building a new golf shop and restaurant area, but are glad to hear you found the construction didn't affect your golfing experience. Please come play our course again soon.
Great course
This is my favorite course in south Florida by far. The staff is great and friendly. The course is always in good shape. And this is by far the most unique golf course in south Florida. It is built on an old dump site so has far more undulation than any course around here. I play it as often as possible, and recommend it to all I can.
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are happy to hear that you enjoy the facility so much and, most importantly, find our staff to be friendly. Please come visit us again soon.
Great golf course
Greens were in great shape a few bald spots in the fair way. One of the few courses in South Florida that has any elevation changes and blind drives. Weather was great for a July morning. Breeze on top of the hills keeps the heat down. Can't beat summer prices.
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the facility so much and found the greens to be in excellent condition. We have been working on the turf condition in the fairways and you should see these spots grown in shortly.
Please come see us again soon for another round!!
Good Course
Overall nice course. I was grouped with a couple and it was brutal. Never play with someone who has never played golf before. The greens were super slow and tricky at most times.
Thank you for your reveiw of Park Ridge. We understand that playing with golfers of different skill levels can be a challenge and sorry to hear that this adversely affected your round. Please come play the course again soon.
Fun course with average conditions
The course is built on a landfill so there is rare elevation for a Florida course. A lot of the holes had blind drives which was nice. The fairways were not in the best condition however with lots of bald spots. There was also a ring of dead grass around every green.
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are glad that you agree that the course offers a unique perspective on golf in South Florida. At the time that you played, we had recently performed some maintenance to remove some weeds. Please come visit us again soon as the course has recovered from this maintenance and, we believe, you will find a great golfing experience.
Fun, unique Florida course
It's been raining pretty hard the last couple days. But I'm visiting from NC and was determined to play. Park Ridge is a much nicer, better thought out course than I was expecting. Several expansive vistas and a couple of quirks. (Trees in front of a green?cool.) and the changes in elevation make it a must play course for this area.
Of course the course was soaked, but miles from unplayable. I never had to pick the ball out of standing water. There was only one spot, on a cart path, where ponding forced me to detour. I did lift clean and place every shot, however.
Might be a challenge for Floridians to walk. There are a half dozen or so fairly steep slopes. But I'm 63.5 and did okay.
A word about #8. Even if you are walking, walk up to the 150 yard post and look down the hill towards the green to see if it's playable or if you need to lay up.
About those posts. There are several 250 yard posts but NONE for 100 yards. One hundred yard posts might help pace of play.
Fairways are wide and easy to hit. You'll only lose your ball in the brush if you get greedy. The whole course was aerated a week ago, but greens were okay.
After having played several landfill courses in other states, Park Ridge is my easy favorite.
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the facility and the views it offers so much. Please come visit us again soon.
Elevation Change, in Florida?
I believe that this course may have been build upon a landfill. Don't let that fool you, or scare you off. It is a well designed course with elevation changes, not usually found in South Florida. Except for a few tee boxes which were beat up, course was in great shape. Beautiful greens!
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our elevation changes so much. These changes, as well as the views that they afford, are certainly a unique feature for our area.
We have recently re-sodded several of our tee boxes, so hopefully you will find them in better condition the next time you visit.
Please come see us again soon.
Much Better
This was my first time playing this course in the last 6 months. The course is much better as far as the fairways and greens.
Obvious improvements.
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are happy to hear that you have returned to the course after a lengthy time away and found the course to be in better conditions. We are working hard to continually improve the facility as we know so many people enjoy the unique layout.

Excellent golf course to try
Very good layout with denivellation, excellent green and fairway condition, very good pace (3hr), decent green fees, friendly staff. Would come back for sure.
Thank you for your review and five-star rating of Park Ridge. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the facility so much and had a great experience with pace of play. We strive to maintain a 4 hours, 15 minutes pace of play and are happy to hear it was better than this during your round. ELEVATION AMAZING
For a former landfill, they have done marvelous!
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the course so much. Please come back to play at our facility again soon.
5 1/2 hours to play
We've played this course before and found it challenging but fun. This time the challenge was finishing before dark! 5 1/2 hours to play and waiting on EVERY shot! (BTW - the notice in the cart says pace of play is 4 hours 15 minutes).
On hole #8, there were 5 foursomes on the hole - 3 waiting - I at the landing zone and1 on the green. The ranger came by but didn't offer any ideas why it was so slow.
We like the layout of this course but won't be back on a weekend ever again!
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. The day that you recently played was a challenging one at the course as we had many groups arrive late while several groups showed up that thought they had a booked tee time when in fact they did not. As always, we tried to accommodate all of our golfers, but soon realized that the pace of play was affected. We have made note of this and have changed our policies so as not to adversely affect our golfers in the future.
We hope you will re-consider visiting us again on a future weekend, as we are certain you will find the pace of play to be more along the lines of 4 hours, 15 minutes.
FIRWAYS WERE WET.
This golf course have a nice layout. Some holes are chalenging with wood and water.
Thank you for your review of Park Ridge. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your round of golf with us and liked the layout of our course. We have had a lot of rain this year that has certainly caused some wet fairways, but we are working diligently to keep the course in top condition.
We hope you will come golf with us again soon.

Great course, Friendly staff, and price is just right!!!
We played on monday and there is a good reason this place is packed. The place is clean, staff is awesome, and the price is just right. We love playing here and always feel welcome(unlike most courses in south florida). Keep up the great work and stay busy. The pace of play may get slow because people just love coming here.
Thank you for reviewing Park Ridge. We are happy to hear you have such an enjoyable experience when you visit our facility. We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service and are pleased to hear that your interactions with are staff are so pleasant. Please come visit us again soon.
Love the layout
I have played this course many times and love the layout and the elevations. When my brother and sister-in-law come to visit, they look forward to playing at Park Ridge. My brother is an avid golfer and he too, loves this course. He has played many different courses in south Jersey and ranks this course right up there. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. I
would recommend this course to anyone that truly enjoys the game of golf.
Thank you for your comments about Park Ridge Golf Course. We are happy to hear that you, and your family, enjoy our facility so much. We pride ourselves on offering an "out of Florida" experience with our elevation changes and views found at no other course in South Florida and are happy to know you appreciate that experience so much.
Most importantly, we are happy to hear that you have had such great interaction with our staff as we strive to provide excellent customer service.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Most importantly, we are glad to hear that you had such a good experience with our staff. Please come see us again soon.
