Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

Worth the Drive
Very different than anything else in S Florida. Elevation changes in S Florida golf is unheard of unless you play Park Ridge. The course demands accuracy from the tee box. Palm beach county does an excellent job with their courses!
This course is unique in many ways
With many hills and valleys, this is a unique course in our area.
Staff Was Horrible
The starter was the only good staff member I met on this course. The ranger was rude; I had hit my tee shot to the middle of the fairway while my partner hit a little left into the rough. As I was addressing my ball, the ranger comes riding up behind me and starts yelling at my partner to hurry up. We were on pace, we were never not on pace, and I was in set up. The group in front of us had just come off the green. A couple of holes later, we are on the tee box, two of us have hit, and two are preparing to hit their drives when the mowing crew comes right down our fairway and towards us, not allowing our foursome to continue until they mowed. I approached the employee after everyone hit about moving off the fairway until we passed, he shrugged and informed me "they were working". Unreal. Anyway, its a shame the course is so nice, because it makes me want to play it again, but I am not sure its worth dealing with a bunch of arrogant county employees that could care less about customer service. I hope your experience is better than mine.
great course
one of best conditioned courses in area ,nice layout decent challenge due to always windy on course, a shotmakers course not always a distance shot but strategy
Great Links Course on reclaimed land....
I was on GolfNow and needed to meet a friend near his 96 year old Mother's home near Lake Worth, FL . I read about Park Ridge GC and was intrigued with the story of award winning land reclamation program to create the course. I actually played 5/8 for the first time and was quite impressed with the great greens and general condition of the entire facility. I play a couple times a week in southeast Florida at various GC's. This course is in superb condition, especially with the number of really hot sunny days already and it is just May. Plus....Park Ridge has a great elevated view from almost all points....Truly unique in this area.
May 2015
Played this course many times. Greens were in great condition but a tad bit to slow. Bunkers were clean. Overall 8.5/10.
SUNNY THEN RAIN
PLAYED AS A SINGLE BUT MET UP WITH ANOTHER AT THE 2ND. SUNNY DAY TURNED BLACK AND COULD NOT FINISH THE LAST TWO HOLES- LIGHTING SIREN SOUNDED AND ENDED THE DAY. NICE FACILITIES, WILL PLAY AGAIN.
Very fun course
One of the few local courses that actually has some elevation changes. Good range of holes with some reachable par 5's and even a par 4.
Very fun
I love this course. Very cool lay out and totally different terrain for south Florida. Some fun down shots and a blind up shots. Only bad thing is when it rains it tends to get muddy fast and they are quick to make a no carts on fairway rule. We tend to avoid playing here in the summer because of this.
FL CHANGE OF PACE
THIS COURSE WAS CREATED FROM A LANDFILL, BUT HAS NO EVIDENCE OF IT & NO SMELL
THE ONLY COURSE IN SO FL THAT HAS ELEVATIONS ALSO SOME BLIND SHOTS
IT HELPS TO GO FORWARD & LOOK AT THE HOLE
GREENS ARE GOOD & PUTT TRUE
A LITTLE PRICY FOR A MUNI
Decent Shape
I originally came as a single, and got paired up with another player. But my friend came up to me while I was waiting on the tee, the player I got paired up with went ahead of me, leave me to play with my friend. The course was in decent condition, the greens were smooth, but relatively slow. The rough was a little dry, and the bunkers weren't raked very much. The fairways for the most part were decent, with some patches of St. Augustine grass in the fairways and teeboxes. The players behind us went through us on the 11th hole without asking, but we didn't really mind. This course was definitely tiring to walk, me and my friend were exhausted by the time we were done. Also we are juniors. Overall the course is in good shape.
pluie pluie
J'ai payé pour 18 trous , j'ai joué seulement 9 trous a cause de la temperature , on me dit que c'est golf now qui doit rembourser le 9 trous....
plus ou moins satisfait surtout la temperature
Vert unique for Florida
A lot of Nice view. Thé only thing is when it is your first Time there us a lot of blind shot
A different kind of South Florida course
A little on the expensive side for booking thru GolfNow -- $50 (have been playing decent courses for $25-35).
This course built over and around a landfill. Therefore, the whole course played up or down a hill.
A lot of blind tee shots to well marked fairways -- center posts.
It was a lot of fun to play and the pace was fine -- 4 hours.
great
sory for my English but i like the course not too muche expensive for play at the course thank you
Course is unique to Florida golf
With the many changes in elevation, and frequent tees with blind shots, this course was very unique in my Florida golf experience. Perched on one of the highest points in South Florida, the winds also made club & shot selection very important What a greasy lay-out & golfing experience!!
Awesome, Definitely going back
First time playing here and I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed the layout and especially the elevation! Greens were rolling nicely and the course is in excellent shape. We played in 3 hours because it was Easter Sunday but it was so enjoyable to not have to wait on every shot! The only thing I did not like was the 13th tee box (blue tees), it aims you way left. This would be an easy and relatively cheap fix for the county to make. I can't believe it's taken me this long to play here, but I'll definitely be back real soon!
Nice Course
Course is in great condition, I will play here again
Great location and nce practice area
A beautiful day and a very nice course to play. Oly complaint was some delay on some holes behind a two some. Should have moved the groups along to play in 4 hours
fun and challenging
First time at the course and will definitely be back. Fun challenging holes!
