Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

Overall very good
I like the hilly course. You don't get that kind of terrain in south Florida
Unique find
Very unique course. Links style with a lot of elevation changes. Course conditions were good enough. Not great but not bad. Greens were smooth but I thought they rolled a little slow. Front 9 is pretty much right there in front of you and is fairly easy. However, on the back there are several blind shots and drastic elevation changes. It would help to have played the course before. There were several times I thought I had hit a pretty good shot only to get up near my ball and find that it was in one of the waste areas that jutted out close to the green or fairway. It is a very fun and unique course and the price is very good.
A great golf course to play
Very challenging golf course from the blue tees. with all the hills and slopes I would almost say it is south Florida's Pebble beach with out the water
Park ridge
Beautiful. Lots of elevation changes Reminds me of courses up north (hilly) Wide open nice greens great course
Not your average south Florida course
All the elevation changes make this a great change of pace, wide fairways, nice greens, and no condo lined fairways, a great value and a fun course, will be playing it again for sure !!!
Park Ridge
Excellent Day of Golf! Conditions were great, course was very well maintained. Not your typical FL course.... I'll be back!
Lots of fun and a great value.
Course was in good condition considering the busy season had just ended. Staff was great. We were 20 minutes late for our tee time. I called ahead and they were great and very accomodating. We got on right away. A few of the tee boxes had just been resodded & were not very level, but the rest of the course was great. I love playing a course with elevation changes like this one. Unique down in south FL. Not any water to speak of either which is kinda nice sometimes.
Great golf
Nice course I recommend it to all my friends . All the holes were spaced out perfectly to allow a good speed of play.
golfer
Typically they roll the green s and putting is consistent but appears they are starting summer maintenance. Still shot 82, but several 3 putts.
Funnest local course
I love playing at Park Ridge - the elevation changes and isolated tee boxes (having to hit over large waste areas to the fairway) make it REALLY fun... for mediocre golfers like my friends and me, you lose a decent amount of balls, but it's a blast.
Novelty
The elevations make it a novelty down here... But overall it just feels like you're playing on a dump. Not because of conditions but just because there's only water on one hole and not many trees... You're just kinda hacking around on a dump.
Scenic golf course
Challenging golf course i love playing golf when théories no houses around
Great elevation changes
The course was great, friendly staff and workers. My only complaint was that we got there 15 mins. early was sitting in our carts waiting to go out at 10:48 our tee time, then a group of 4 pulls up whose tee time was 10:57 and they sent them out ahead of us. this was not the first time this has happened.
Bang!! For buck
Will never be able to say enough about this course. The elevation changes have only been rivaled by courses back home in TN. The only other course even remotely close in terms of qualify and elevation I've played in FL is Abacoa and it was an $80 round that was a gift. The long tees really give you a chance to open up your driver following it with a nice wood or long iron. And you don't have to worry about bare spots in rough or fairways and the greens are solid. The staff-they know what they're doing for sure.
Challenging course!
I've wanted to play this local course for a while and boy did it meet expectations. What a beautiful facility and super challenging course. If you weren't told otherwise there'd be no way you would guess this was a landfill. The elevation is beautiful and challenging. Felt like I was playing in Scotland. Some say the course is gimmicky, I think it was a nice change of pace from the flat courses in the area. Landscaping is immaculately maintained. Greens are FAST, so be prepared.
Very Different and Fun South Florida Course
Park Ridge is a great different course for South Floridians to play: Lots of elevation changes on each hole! The only problem we had was that the group in front of us was too slow and did not let us play through.
Value
Good course and with the discount offered online was a good value
Good course gone south
I have played this course since it opened. The conditions this year are the worst I have seen. Tee boxes are deplorable. Fairways need attention and the greens are in state of constant state of flux. Continual sanding of greens does not make for a great round. Very disappointed in the county for not taking better care of this course.
Hi,
Thank you for your review of our course. I am concerned about your comment about another foursome being sent out in front of you. If you have time, please contact me by phone, email or the next time you are here so I can look into the situation and make sure it doesn't happen again.
Thank you!
