Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

Not your typical Florida golf course.
Excellent reuse of a retired landfill. Dramatic elevation changes and wind swept. Very challenging from appropriate tee. Excellent value.
A must play in Palm Beach !!
If you want something different in South Florida, then you have found it. This course is fantastic and will provide a challenge to all levels of play. Some of the fairways and tee boxes are a little beat up but the greens were in good shape and wicked fast. The views are spectacular on some holes with 50-100' elevation changes and if you took a picture most people would not believe you were in Palm Beach County. Tons of blind shots so play with someone who has played there before and chose your target lines well...BEWARE the occasional methane smell (It was a landfill for goodness sake) as it comes and goes but will not make you run for your car.. Remember don't be afraid to tee it forward, especially on this course to help maximize the fun.
For Floridians, the elevation in this course makes it very rare indeed.
I enjoy Park Ridge. The rare elevation for Florida coupled with the numerous tee boxes allow you to tailor the course to your playing level. Sadly, as have so many other courses, they have removed a great deal of the " trouble". The recently paved cart paths are a vast improvement over the previous paths. This course will be unlike any other you will play in South Florida.
Gréât golf to play à must
Gréât golf à beauty ,Nice Green, very challenging course
Very unique to Florida links course with lots of elevation changes. One of my favorites.
Seems almost like a links course in Scotland. One of my favorite courses in South Florida. Course was in very good shape the day we played and greens were excellent. Love the rolling fairways and elevations changes. I never get tired of playing this one.
Great price, great condition
Golfnow value great for this course. Staff was helpful and friendly, we were 4 golfnow users. Conditions were excellent and we got done in good time late in the day.
Recommend this course only in dry weather due to the drainage issues, but it is fun to be on top of the mountain (hill to non-Floridans) and look down at the fairway on the other side of the "junk."
Always fun course.
great course. I always enjoy playing there. I will contiune to play ParkRidge.
Requires a variety of golf shots.
I definitely enjoyed this unique S. Fl. Challenge. The greens were decent enough to enjoy. I am looking forward to playing this track again. Especially with the knowledge of where to hit and miss it. There were a lot of blind shots from the tips. Overall a must play for any golfer seeking variety.
Very nice municipal course. Good challange & great price.

Fair but demanding
What you see is what you get. Course is very playable but still working on it.
A must play course in S. Florida
This course is challenging that requires you to hit straight shots; otherwise, you will not be able to recover your ball from the bush hazards. It's also very fun to play here since the course layouts and views are totally different than those typical FL courses. The course is built on top of an old dumpster so it's also called the Dumpster course. Due to this, some holes are stink but not too bad. For most holes you can't see the greens from the tee boxes or fairways so it's kind of confuse where to hit your ball for those who play here in the first time. Some holes you need to either hit up or down to the greens from the hilly fairways or tee boxes. That's where the most fun comes in for this course. Needless to say, go out to play this course and you will have a lot of fun.
Great unique course for South Florida
Built over an old garbage dump, this course has views, challenges and changes in elevation that are unique in South Florida.
It is a great course. The greens are always immaculate.
The only issue it has is that it does not drain well, thus you might have to play it from CAR PATH ONLY after any medium term rain spell.
If you have not played this course at least once you are missing a real treat.
Surreal course in Florida
This course is a must play on your list!
If your tired of all our flat courses in South Fl, Then you must play this course. Lots of elevation changes, the course itself is in good shape, fairways are in decent shape, greens roll very nicely. Must keep yourself in the fairways, your ball will want to hide in the rough, also the preserve areas are a sure ball loser! All in All, Fun course to play. Keep it straight and have fun!
Absolute Blast!!
What a fun course. Really really good.
If you want somewhere different with some character then do not miss this.
Challenging course if you miss the fairway (which I did quite often) but fair and very playable for most golfers.
I will pay this again probably next weekend.
Course in really good shape with just a few minor blemishes - Sand is a bit rough but greens were really good.
Fun playing a course with elevation changes, sloping fairways & lots of blind shots.
Course was in great shape with wonderful vista views from the "mountain top". Greens were rolling about an 8 but looked beautiful & were very smooth. I rolled them in from everywhere.
Course was in great condition from Tee boxes to the Greens. Great mountain like views (at least for South Florida)
Course was in great condition from Tee boxes to the Greens. Great mountain like views (at least for South Florida) Cool to play where there were drop offs and inclines. Would recommend to all to play this course. I'll be going back.
nothing like it in south florida
from the second you pull in the parking lot you know youre in for something special.the elevation changes are a real treat. if you do most your golfing in south florida you owe it to yourself to give this place a try. ihad the privilege to play with budding tour golfer rick pearson and watching him dismantle the layout with one masterfully placed shot after another was something I wont soon forget.
Great course in great condition
My wife and I have played well over 100 courses and we have not met a friendlier staff on any course. This course is challenging from the back tees and yet forgiving from the forward tees. This links style course has awesome views because of the multible elevation changes (as much as 90 feet) unheard of anywhere else in South Florida. This is because it was built on an old landfill site. All this and it is Audubon certified.
6-6-6 format very nice!
Course still little wet from rains but, overall nice shape. Happy to see they have finally cut the greens to allow for nice roll. Keep it up. Thanks
One of a kind in South Florida
Drastic elevation changes for flat land south Florida. Good conditions and ball hungry rough that makes the U.S. Open look easy. Check this course out!
