Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

Not a great course to play
The staff are not very friendly. The course plays very slow. I would prefer to take my friends to a different course for the money.
Hills and smells
Quite challenging do to narrow fairways and bushes around fairways.Balls lost easily. In the point of view of differencies each hole is different which makes this course very nice.
Sometimes annoying smell of methane do to the landfill base.
Love all of the elavations
This course is, by far, one of the mose interesting courses I have ever played. My husband and I love all of the elavations and the challenge this course brings. The scenery is absolutely beautiful.
the course has a challenging layout, especially the back nine. The bunkers are in good condition however the greens played too slow.
I would definitely recommend Park Ridge to any of my friends. The cost to play is a little too high, compared to other courses in the area, many of which are country clubs. I found the greens to play too slow, however, the overall condition and experience as better then average.
I will come back,,,,for sure.
I was surprised to find such course in the area.Very difficult to decide the right club to use. Windy conditions as there are no barriers and constant elevation changes generate wind gusts from different directions.Proper club selection is a must. Large contoured and fast, " Pastpalum" greens dare you to leave it a " gimmie",,,,keep trying. It is a 'Challenge" you have to try again and again.
Fun Unique Course
Great course. The elevation changes made it a unique experience for Palm Beach.
Staff was very friendly and professional.
It reminds me my home mountain course with , sometimes a strong links flavor.
Played it for the First time. I loved it. And along with Okeeheelee and Osprey Point courses I discovered a very good architech(Roy Case). Very very good and original pars 3 and 5.Some first shots are blind ones: exciting! Good greens you can putt. I am in a hurry to return.
Great course. Not your usual Florida Course has hills and valleys.
Very Challenging course. Played from Gold tees. Plenty of trouble to navigate. Greens held nicely and putted true. Course in in good condition for a muni. Has a good practice area and driving range. Have played there twice and will play again.
Fun links style
Elevation changes in Florida?! Believe it! This is an enjoyable course having played it about five times now. There are a few blind shots, mostly from the tee. Play it a couple of times and we will find it very fair, and at a great price! The green surfaces are much better this year than last.
People in pro shop were there just to take money, the starter was a grouch, course was fair fairways need watered, greens were good.
we were running late and it was like we were a total inconvenience to them. the starters comment was well go ahead someones already got things backed up. did not explain the signiture sheet for the carts which by the way is a joke. Course moderately challenging but fairways are pretty thin on grass. The only really friendly people were the two guys that took our bags at the bag drop. Management needs to have a meeting with the staff about their purpose for being there.
Nice Public course.
One of the hgher elevations is Palm Beach County and it has some very nice holes with elevation changes. Pace of play is average and there are some really nice views. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are well maintained. The nicest greens I have played so far in Florida and they are fast. There are four tee boxes for all levels of handicaps. Great daily course.
Nice open layout
Course in good shape, friendly staff, it is a little windy at location which makes shot making a premium.
Good course, good greens, unique in So Fl
This course was built on a dump. Front 9 plays back & forth until 7th then goes up & down through the back 9. Always breezy; green in great shape.
nice course..too slow pace
pace too slow. needs ranger to control pace of play
unusuall terrian for Florida
Great lay out allways fun to play Pace of play better than average.
Good solid golf course
Greens and fairways in good shape. All around fun course to play at reasonable rates. Some pretty challenging holes but all around a fair test.
The course has nice elevation
This course is built on an old trash dump, but you can not tell if you didn't know what it was before the course was built. The course is well maintained and greens were nice. The price is about average with other courses in PBC. We ended up paying $32 thru Golfnow, so we saved a couple dollars. Overall our party had a great time. We were asked to "play a little faster" by the group behind us. Having two new players with our party, we decided to skip a hole as a nice gesture. We will be going back, but likely during the week or once season starts to slow down.
This course very interesting .
Excellent condition.
Front is straight forward but wait to see the back .
Four part 5 on the back
I will Definitely go back .
Nice course, better if you play with a special rate
Course in good shape, greens are reasonably fast. Staff is courteous and friendly. Pace of play was great. Played Yellow tees course is easy.
Looks a little like a Scottish course...
Park Ridge will pleasantly surprise anyone who plays it for the first time and is certainly Palm Beach County's secret golf gem.... The large greens are fairly undulating, well maintained, and play at a nice pace...This is a wonderful public golf venue I would recommend to everyone...
