Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

not a typical south florida course
very nice change from the flat courses in south florida. the course is well maintained . the greens are nice and very smooth and are fairly quick. i will return soon .
Unique to South Florida
Elevation changes unlike other courses in SoFla. Only one hole with water in play but you can easily lose a ball with growth lining the fairways. Gas carts, no GPS. Getting a yardage is tricky if you're not near a fairway yardage marker pole. Course condition is good and worth trying at summer rates.
Excellent shape
this course was in excellent shape .I would recommend this course. The views are great not your typical Florida course
Nice
Nice course. We got rained out on the forth hole and we're given a rain check for only half of our fees and none of the golf now fees
Course is in excellent condition with many interesting views. Once it started raining the course flooded quickly. The drainage was poor on many holes.
Very different- Fun course
Too much sand on greens. Good fairways. Not crowded. Good staff. No wait in mid afternoon.
Great elivation
This is the goonie golf of a champion course. Very fun to play nothing like it in south Florida. Very very FUN.
Different for South Florida
Nice round of golf, pace was good and the overall condition of the course was fine. the elevation changes make it a must play for this area.
Parkridge is my favorite course in South Florida
Parkridge is fun to play, lots of hills which is rare in South Florida . The course is always in good shape. The replay rate was $20 which was very reasonable. I look forward to playing there again soon.
excellent buy - cant go wrong
hills in Florida and great fairways - many blind shots making it challenging
GREAT COURSE FOR SOUTH FLORIDA
NOTHING LIKE IT IN SOUTH FLORIDA. GREAT ELEVATION CHANGES.ALWAYS MAINTAINED YEAR ROUND.
Fun layout.
Fun course to play with 6 par 5's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 3's. Lots of elevation changes and the greens were in really good condition.
Fun course but poor tee time management....slow play.
A pretty fun track to play with a lot of elevation changes that are unique for Florida. The design really takes full advantage of the real estate. Being a fast playing two-some that hasn't taken longer than 2 1/2 to 3 hours to play any course when going out with the first tee time, we were a bit disappointed that they put off several groups of course volunteer workers before the public tee times. Not that big of a deal because we appreciate a few perks for people who help out as volunteers, but then we made the turn..... And the pro-shop had put 9-hole ladies golfers out on the back-nine in front of us. We waited a very long time on every shot for the entire backside! It really took the fun out of a course that we would have played more than once this week. We won't be going back.
It's The Dump!
Call it what you will - The Dump, The Landfill, Park Ridge. It's a fun course with the occasional odiferous scent of what it used to be. There are elevation changes, some nice scenery, and some blind shots. The starter was super friendly and the inside staff was great.
Nice course. Very enjoyable!
I enjoyed the course with 3 of my friends and we had a good, challenging game. The course is kept up and well maintained, and I play there quite often. Would play there again.
Always a fun outing
Hills make it fun with change of elevation. Greens true and fast. Go for it.
Good course for the $
Pro shop good. Course was well manicured. As a County course it was OK. I do have issues with three things:
1 The Rangers NEED to keep play moving. Our back 9 got really congested with several 10+ minute waits.
2 The IDIOTS mowing NEED to TURN OFF machines when in close proximity to players.
3 Get GPS in the carts as posted yardage is wrong.
It took forever to play
It took 2.5 hours to play the front nine and got worse on the back we quit after the 13 hole, after it took 1hour and 20 minutes
to play 4 holes. The so called ranger was out on the course but set taling to the drink cart girl.
dave
The course is unique as it was built on an old dump site, so you get nice but at times tacky elavation changes and many blind shots.
The tee times are booked too close together. There is rarely a marshall on the course to keep the play moving. This course should be played in under 3 hours.
As a public facility, the customer service is very poor. Remarkably, i left my expensive sunglasses in the cart. I returned to the course 10 minutes later and the staff retrieved my ray bans from the garbage. No class.
good course
Course is in good shape , and presents a good challenge to all levels. All holes are different and interesting and the elevation changes for Florida is unique. The greens though we all different speeds , some slow , some quick , hard to get a good feel. Also as a suggestion the blue tees are 6000 yards and the gold 6500 , why not make a combo course of those tees , say 6300 for more challenge to some golfers. I usually play the golds but on 3 or 4 holes it is a challenge to make it to the fairway. All in all a very nice public course and well worth the time and money to play.
