Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

This was a dump?
When I first heard that they built this course over a dump I thought it was going to be terrible, I've never been so wrong. One of my new favorite place to play in the Palm Beach. If you play the tips, this course will challenge you. You have to hit the ball long and fairly straight from the tips to be able to score. Par 5's are reachable if you can put it in the fairway, but its going to take two good blasts. Greens are faster than average and always seem to be in good condition. Lots of fescue and hills that make this course look like you are playing anywhere but South Florida.
A very unusual course for South Florida!
A very unusual course for South Florida, built on a old dump site this has hills and undulating terrain seen only in areas ouside of Florida! Both my son and I throughly enjoyed the course and will be back in the future!!
Mountain Course in Florida
If your looking for a unique experience in South Florida Park Ridge is for you. This course offers significant elevation changes like you would find on a mountain course. It's hole layout with six each of par 3, 4 and 5 holes is something not found anywhere else. The course is well maintained with a very friendly staff. Have a great round!
NOT a flat boring course....
First time I played here, it was windy as heck, great layout,
no real "stupid holes" like others may say.
I played from all the way back (6900 yds) several blind shots,
#8 is the main hole that the approach shot you are hitting down
a 45' cliff down to the green, and you really can't see the green
from the fairway, but there is a 30' high "red lollipop" looking
pole behind the green so you have an aim point. I can't wait to go play this place again. I birdied the first and last holes (par 5's)
and birdied 2 par 3's to shoot 77, and I'm 55, so I'll take that.
Reasonable priced & course quality above average
Price was reasonable for the time of year. Course is in above average and greens pretty fast and fairly true roll.
atypical of Florida courses with elevation. Fairways need more water.
Like the variety of holes & elevation. Fairways need some water.
Greens are in very good condition.
I have been playing here for years and i can't remember the greens ever having a nice speed to them!! Great job staff. If you want a course that's not flat and is challenging this one is for you.
Pleasant surprise!!!!
What a pleasant surprise...Great price....Nice layout... Hills in Southern Florida although man made with pretty views. Can be a challenge. We will go back for sure....:)
BY FAR ONE OF THE FUNNEST COURSE'S I HAVE PLAYED IN FLORIDA..
CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THERE AGAIN... REALLY ENJOYED MY ROUND AND GREAT LAYOUT....
Only course like it in S Florida
Hills fesque nice greens great view. It all make s for a great day of golf.
lots of fun with high elevations
overall nice challenge greens don't roll true need improvement
Fun Layout
This course was just great fun to play. In addition to the exceptional variation in elevations it was composed of 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's. I look forward to playing this layout in the future.
Elevation in Florida!
Blind tee shots, elevated par 3's, sloping fairways. Carts are old and slow but its a great layout. Lots of fun to play.
Improve the greens and service
You absolutely cannot find anything like this in South Florida. Some great holes with all sorts of interesting elevation changes and who else has 6 par 5's? All built on what used to be the city dump! my only true complaint tis the staff there is hit or miss. there are a few friendly guys but mostly people who are uninterested in being of any assistance. For the price you cant go wrong, jut be prepared to hadle your own clubs and they require cartsin like 15 minutes before dark which is annoying when you're on 17 with plenty of light. All in all a good value and unique experience in So Fla
Unique S. Florida Golf Experience
Hills, valleys and vistas... Not in south Florida? Only here at the remake of the landfill. Occasional whiff of foul air even after all these years does not stop me from enjoying this unique golf course. Moderately challenging holes and a few blind drives keeps it interesting. I would recommend this for moderately skilled to beginners. Advanced golfers may enjoy the unusual landscape but will not be challenged. I'll be back!
Unique Course for South Florida
Some great views on tee boxes around the course; a number of tee shots where you cannot see the entire landing area. If you have a tendency to spray the ball then bring plenty with you as there are a few holes where you will have no chance of retrieving a big hook or slice. Greens always seem to be in good shape.
Truly unique.
Built on a landfill, offers greatest elevations in county. Individual holes are distinct and interesting. Truly unique for South Florida.
Totally DIfferent. Great Greens!!
I had a great time here with my friends. The staff was exceptional and the course was totally different than ANY other in South FLorida. From Tee to Green the course was in great shape. They could use cart paths all around the whole course but I hear that is coming next month.
