Golf Club At South Hampton

Great course! Paired up with 2 gentlemen from Canada and truly enjoyed the round! Would recommend to others!!

The golf course conditions were a B to B+. The one thing that really bothered me was the group behind our foursome. They felt compelled to hit into us even though there was a foursome on each of the three holes in front of us that our group had to wait on. I’m not sure how you would be able to handle one of the golfers behind us playing shirtless, but his steroid rage and his lack of etiquette ruined the game for us.

Usually this course is a 5 star. The greens are not in good shape. Dead sand spots on every one of them. They are inconsistent speeds as some are fast and others slow. Areas around greens and in fairways are bald to the dirt with no grass. This causes extremely tight lies which makes it challenging to chip. Since it is such a short course be prepared for a long round. Groups wait till the green is cleared on par 4s. This course is still charging like it is in peak condition. Go somewhere else for now until they get back to normal.

The greens need help. Bare in spots, bumpy areas.

Sand traps great. fairways lacking grass in areas.

Whomever cut the holes for yesterday either lost in Wed night poker or missed the money in his weekly game! Man on slopes and sides…we didn’t have a chance! Great day and fun round.

Course in good shape, had a nice round until#10 when 3 young kids jumped us and the starter said nothing. Very rude

Fairways need some water, but greens are very good.

Played blue tees ,greens were firm & didn’t hold as well as I prefer but we’re fast so fun putting

Brought my wife to ride along starter told me they couldn't do that because there were not enough carts to take 3 out. The two groups behind us took three carts so apparently it is just at their discretion. If I am paying 90 plus dollars to play a round of golf there shouldn't be an issue to have a rider. I offered to pay for her to ride and the answer was still a no. Poor customer service, but course was in wonderful condition.

We played this course on a Saturday and it was very busy. The club house staff, starter and restaurant staff were great. They were quick and efficient. The course was challenging and offered several different options. Some holes had water, some more trees, and some varying elevation. All had strategic sand traps. There was some repair taking place but it didn't hamper play.

The course was very busy and we waited on every hole. The round took over 5 hours.

The value was good.

We would play again on a less busy day.

I love Playing at SouthHampton. A very fair test of golf. Tees, greens, and fairways were all in very good shape. I highly recommend this course for experienced players. The course rangers do a fairly good job of maintaining pace of play and the cart girls are friendly and competent. I would discourage novice players from starting with this course and direct them to the executive course in nocatee to hone their skills first.
