About
The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Hire more help
Have played here 3 times this winter and still can't finish a round fo to slow play, and no one to in force pace of play. Letting walkers out after noon on a weekend never a great idea, when we lose an hour of sunlight in the winter.
Ashamed
something always disappoints. 72 bucks to play in the winter with top dressed greens. Then to be almost turned away because my 3 year old was riding along with me ( he goes with me everywhere else, twice a week). I’ll take my 72 bucks and spent it else where. Way to promote the game to the youth!! Bunch of Jack weeds at this place.
A DELIGHTFUL GOLF COURSE!!!!
THIS COURSE AT THE GOLF CLUB OF South Hampton IS A SHEER DELIGHT TO PLAY!!!! GREAT CONDITIONS...BEAUTIFUL TEE BOXES, FAIRWAYS, AND FAST GREENS!!!!
South of JAX
Little south of JAX, this is a. very nice golf course. Nice layout & well-maintained. Will definitely come back again.
Awesome Course
What an awesome course! The staff at the pro shop were very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I can’t wait to play again at South Hampton!
Slow, Slow, Slow
Condition but because of a frost delay in slow play, it ended up being a five hour.
Good course
Staff is friendly, a little over priced for the course but overall not bad at all. Stays booked though so if you see a tee time you want to get it because it won't be there long.
Need new tee boxes
Expected more from this course. Tee boxes were mostly dirt. Layout wraps around a neighborhood. Pace of play was 5 1/2 hours. Never saw a marshal.
The saving grace were the finishing holes. Pro shop guy was totally uninterested in helping me out. Hate to pay for worn out range balls.
Won’t go back. St. John’s CC is a much better value.
Fix tee boxes
Played on Friday….fee doesn’t include range balls. Most range balls were pretty worn out, so hard to get feedback on ball striking. Practice putting range needed some work.
Course is wrapped around a neighborhood. Finishing holes are spectacular. Tee boxes need a lot of work, so the superintendent should place the tees where grass is. Too many times we were standing in sandy tee boxes.
Pace of play was fair. Marshall never said anything to the group in front of us, as they were two holes behind the group in front of them. Played in 5 1/2 hours.
Pro shop guy wasn’t too welcoming to a first timer. Sand traps were well kept, putting surface was really scuffed up. Pin placements were okay except for #1 and #10.
Overall, I’d rather play St. John’s CC down the street.
