Stoneybrook West Golf Course

About
Designed by Arthur Hills Stoneybrook West is a roaming blend of gutsy, penal holes, picturesque par threes over water, reachable par fives (527 and 522 yards from the tips, then 578 and 605), and several short, sporty par fours that cover all corners of the site. Dramatically rolling fairways salted with Hills' trademark grass-faced bunkers, subtle elevation changes and undulating greens were all artfully carved out of native orange groves, overlooking Black Lake. Water comes into play on 12 holes; you'll find all 18 are distinctly different, challenging and memorable.
For those visiting the Orlando area, particularly the Disney World complex, Stoneybrook West is just a matter of minutes up the road to the north. For those who frequent the Orlando golf circuit, Stoneybrook West is a course that must be seen to be measured against the other name courses.

Reviews
New ownership has failed this once nice course
The course is in terrible condition except for the greens which were ok. New ownership has not made this what it once was.
Nice course
This course has a decent layout and is fun to play. It was extremely wet when we went but overall not that bad shape. Overall not bad for the amount paid at less than $40 per person.
Always a Pleasure to Play Here
First and foremost, the staff here is among the friendliness around. Everyone goes the little extra to make sure you have an enjoyable day. Even the workers who are out on the course make sure to stop what they are doing so that you can concentrate on your shots. Any review that says otherwise isn't telling you the whole story. There are two sides to every complaint. As for the course, the tee boxes are chewed up a little but I always found someplace to set my tee which was fine. The fairways have some rough spots but definitely fewer than most. Greens are beautiful. The only negative I can mention is that there is only one water fountain on the whole course and that is toward the back 9. I travel 1 1/2 hrs to play here and it's because of the A+ staff and a fun course. If you haven't tried it it comes highly recommended
Work in progress
Greens were in excellent shape. Most of the fairways had grass and decent shape. The rough area needs a lot of work. At a lower price point this is a decent course
Great value course !
Probably the best course around for your money. Very good condition overall, friendly people inside, will be back for sure !!
Best Greens in Orlando?
I don’t usually write reviews, but the greens at Stoneybrook West are easily some of the best in Orlando. The fairways and tee boxes are fine, but for the money, these greens are top tier!
"Calling this a golf course is an insult to the sport.
t.
The grass was overgrown, there was mud everywhere, and we lost over 10 balls right in the middle of the fairway due to the terrible maintenance—which constantly delayed our group.
To make things worse, even with no one playing behind us, the course marshal repeatedly disrupted our game instead of allowing us to enjoy the round. At one point, I had to ask him to help find the balls we kept losing in plain sight.
And to top it all off, there isn't even a place to take a shower after the round.
I will never return."
Good value !
Nice course for the money. Friendly staff, well organized course. !!
Stoneybrook Life

Nicely kept Course, has many challenges
I would consider a membership if it was available at a reasonable price ! ⛳️
Only person with bad review. Have to wonder. Need a shower. Go to motel 6. Never heard such a dumb review.
