About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Bad conditions.
The worst conditions in Central Florida at any golf course, virtually unplayable!
Sad state
It looked like the irrigation system was not working, very dry. The only thing green about the greens was the dye that was sprayed on. There was almost no grass on the greens. Restaurant had good food albeit a little pricey. Will not go back until I see better reviews.
This is the worst condition for a golf course I have ever seen. Wouldn’t play it for free
Conditions
Never ever have I seen a course in such horrible shape. Tee boxes, fairways, greens all looked diseased and burned up. It was terrible.
Love the Course Layout
Got Otter Creek for $20 bucks on Golfnow and had a decent round. There are several greens that are really rough, But that being said the layout of the course is challenging and scenic. I really enjoyed a number of the holes because the surrounding were beautiful. IF they can get a hold of the conditions of the course this will be a jem of a course. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to show me how to get started on the first hole. I will definitely be back for the price and challenge of the course.
Total and utter Crap
This place needs to be shut down, and its owners audited from stealing from the public.
Literally, the single WORST place I've ever played.
Its a complete DUMP, in every way.
To make it worse, the staff are even MORE hideous.

Tough conditions on course
Needs better maintenance and improvement to sprinkler system.
Poor conditions
Course had some positives, very nice layout. But the conditions were horrible. On many of the holes the greens were nothing but dirt. Fairways and tees may be better later in the season, but we’re not good on most fairways and tees. Doubt we will play again.
Beautiful day for golf
Very slow pace to start. Lots of rain previous day caused problems on the course. Water in bunkers and very wet fairways
Not worth the time
Course only had 9 holes open and it was cart path only. The issue is the golf now did not have the condition of the course showing. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were horrible.
Terrible conditions
I almost can’t believe that you have to pay to play this course. Back nine is in terrible condition. Little to no grass on the fareways. The greens were pure sand, no grass anywhere. The front was slightly better but not in good condition. Would not recommend this course. Very poor conditions. We have played this course in years before and a couple of holes would be a little rough but this year it was terrible. We will not go back.
Playable potential
The layout was great the only drawback frankly, were the greens especially on the back nine very poorly kept

They need to get a really good greens keeper and close for about 6 months
Fare ways and greens need a lot of work
Greens are like putting on sand with very little grass the fare ways are like hitting off dirt
I will not play it again until they do something with both
The staff inside need to find a different job they are not customers friendly
I play a lot of golf. Have never played a course in conditions this poor. So few blades of grass you were playing out of dirt/sand all day. Same for what you would call greens; however, no grass. Staff was nice and we played quickly.
Do not play otter creek
The course is in horrible condition. Greens have more sand than grass. Fairways are not much better. Total waste of time and money.
Customer service
I think you should change the staff inside the clubhouse
They are very rude and don’t know who’s coming to play golf
They don’t seem to look up to see the tee times on golf now or tee off and it takes forever to get out
The course needs a little tender loving care fairways and greens are a little rough
