Trump National Doral Miami - Golden Palm Course
About
The Golden Palm Course (formerly known as Gold Course) is one of five 18-hole courses at the Trump National Doral Miami. The courses offer a variety of golfing options to accommodate players of any skill level. The Golden Palm Course has a traditional Floridian layout that features subtly contoured greens and narrow fairways that are lined with trees. There is also strategic bunkering throughout as well as water hazards that come into play on 16 of the 18 holes. The golf course has a notable finishing hole that has an island green. In addition to the five courses, Trump National Doral Miami is also home to a noted golf school.

wow
All I can say is wow! My buddy and I went there for a day of golf and all I can say is wow. This place is immaculate from the entrance to the facilities to the bars, pro shop, golf course, etc. The employees here are very nice and always helpful. It was our first time here and everyone always helped us get to where we needed. We felt like we were extremely welcomed for coming here. It was a beautiful day for golf when we started and we played well. Then we hit some bad luck as it started to rain and had to seek shelter until the rain stopped. We tried to finish the round, but it was very wet from the rain, so we were cart path only. Course doesn't drain quickly which caused our back nine to be bad from slipping and sliding on the course. We finished our round, head to the cart return, where we were greeted by Michael who ask how our round was. We told him about our round and how we got rained on. He offered us to go back out and replay the rained holes or whatever we wanted. Oh my, this made us extremely happy. At this point the course dried up some. Our 2nd go around was a much better experience. We played much better. Stayed afterwards for sone more drinks and some food. Overall, an excellent day at a very impressive course. We played the gold course. Tee boxes need some work, but the fairways and layout is very nice. Greens were excellent and fast. Definitely will be back to play the other courses! Thank you for such a great day out.
Fantastic course.... But
We really enjoyed this course and the facilities. They were top notch.
My only complaints are:
1) I felt like I had to tip everyone everywhere, from parking/valet to picking up clubs after valet, food service, etc.
2) I found a great deal at almost half price on Golf now, I don't think I'd pay $250 for a round
3) rental clubs were $90! Terribly excessive.
It was Very plesury to play This Sunday. att the Gold Palm. Excelent suport André everyone super polite. O recomend. Marco Fialho

Always a pleasure playing atTrump Doral. The golf course was front nine were friendly and encouraging, the back nine was challenging, but still a great time.
Slippery Slope
Hosted two out of town guests for round on Gold Course. Number of issues that raise serious questions about the future of this course. Delay in bags being delivered from valet, wet golf carts, starter sent us to wrong course, singles and twosomes allowed on course before noon, golf carts malfunctioning, beat up tee boxes, divots all over greens. Tried to speak with manager after round about issues and poor experience but seemed uninterested. Received standard sorry response with no attempt to remedy the situation. I am a local with an annual VIP Premiere Card and Patron Card. Play twice a week and will never visit this course again. Unfortunate course management.
Great test
This is a challenging course. Greens will test your reading skills. Loved the test. Would highly recommend th experience. Be prepared to pay for parking $14 self park. $20 valet. That would have been good to know. Still worth it.
Overall great experience.
Tough around greens. Lots of slopes and challenges with pin placements.
Overrated course; unbelievable place
For the money, course was a horrible value, but it is what it is: amazing place; average course
Not sure
The hotel clubhouse and pro shop are amazing the staff is extremely friendly and helpful but when you get onto the course be prepared that it’s not like the rest of trump Doral world
They were very disorganized when you pick up your cart The carts were beat and dirty with a flat tire I would assume that they ran out of scoring cards very un trump like . I sent them an email nobody bothered to respond I hate to say it but if you’re on vacation in Florida save your money and play at Disney
Great course
Course is in great condition. Greens are quick but playable. Fairways are in great shape as well as the tee boxes. Plenty of sand in the traps. Always a great place to play when you can get a deal.
In great shape
The course was in fantastic condition, greens apparently were punch over a month or more ago but roll true and look great. Front 9 is long from gold or tips for a higher handicapper golfer, but average wide fairway makeup for the length. Gold’s play 6300 plus but you can move up to whites which is 6000 plus. The back 9 looks is much shorter but because of the wind it plays longer. Friendly staff great atmosphere really enjoyed the day there.
Lots of positives
I enjoyed having the course to myself. The course is a stern challenge, but you can ease it up considerably by playing whites or blues. I gave golds a shot, and with the wind and humidity it played more like 6900 than 6400. Take an extra club, major takeaway for me. Fairways were wet throughout the round, drives and long clubs didn’t roll, produced fairway divots. The starter told me everything was 90 degrees, but cart wouldn’t allow me on the fairway, made for longer round than it needed to be. I’ll play there again, learning experience today.
Nearly Solid Gold
While the design of this enjoyable, well-groomed course is not as flashy as its sister tracks, the Blue Monster or the Red Tiger, there are plenty of challenges, given the numerous bunkers parked in the somewhat-tight fairways and around the greens,. And there is just enough water to swallow an off-kilter drive or fairway shot. The Golden Palm's signature No. 18 hole with island green capped off a delightful, two-and-a-half hour solo trip during which I ran into only an elderly husband-and-wife pair who graciously allowed me to glide through. Deep rough bordered many fairways, which stood tall. Summer showers hardened most of the bunkers, much to my liking, but softened the spongy turf. The slightly-slow, recently-punched greens ran from large and undulating to flattish, thump nail patches. In a week or so, the greens will be in optimum form. Several of the tee boxes were a bit bare and sandy. As with BM and RT, course management and skill with lob shots is a prerequisite to post a good score.I saw beverage attendant only once, because most players were on the other two courses. Pro shop staff, starter, cart attendants, and valet service were first rank, as was Champions Bar & Grill. A commendable deal for $50.
Blue Monster Indeed
Scheduled to play Golden Palm, fortunate to actually play Blue Monster. Due to a weather delay the course was pretty backed up, so we were incredibly lucky to be able to switch off and play the Blue Monster. The course was fantastic! Fairways were well kept and greens rolled true. Give them another couple of weeks and they’ll be immaculate. Great way to start the weekend, an Oban and the Blue Monster!
Fantastic!
Friends have told me to go play at Trump International and I never had the chance. Last week I got that chance and what a course! Fantastic! Superb! Challenging! The fairways were immaculate, the rough challenging and the greens were sneaky fast.
The entire Resort is top class, yet the Trump personnel were friendly, courteous and down to earth. If you get a chance to play at Trump International...Just Do It, you will have a great experience!
