Costa Del Sol Golf Club

They fixed some greens and they are better than before but there are some greens that still need work

We booked a tee time 5 days in advance for a Sunday morning of golf. However, to our surprise during check in, Costa decided to host a golf tournament. Sadly we were not notified in advance. Hence, when we spoke to the aka on-site Manager, he was rude, unkind, very unprofessional and with no regard to our situation,, basically said just call golfpass and get your refund. I found that to be very unsettling given the lack of empathy, and lack of customer service that was warranted at that moment. I will truly suggest that anyone looking to get some swings in, consider going else where. It's no wonder this course is being driven to the ground. Truly waste of time!!!

The pictures of this course really lured me in....'Back in the day', I am sure it was a Wonderful course, but it is in beyond horrible condition. Whole fairways were roped off, and un-playable, the greens were bad as well. We will never play there again....it was a waist of $108 for sure.

The course was in terrible condition. I wanted to love this course because the layout from the pictures is gorgeous but it was horrible. Holes number 3 and 13 had ‘ground under repair ‘ for the entire fairway so you could not hit a second or third shot.

The greens were very slow and had a lot of fungus.

The fairways and the collars of the greens were Saint Augustine grass mixed with crabgrass and other assorted weeds.

I had great hopes for this course because the layout of the course is excellent and it is target golf but the beautiful pictures do not reflect reality. There were some very positive reviews just two weeks prior to when we played and they cannot possibly be accurate. Hole number three and hole number 13 had the entire fairway as ‘ground under repair ‘, so there was no second shot or third shot on these par fives.

I have never played on a course where the Fairways and roughs and the collars to the greens were Saint Augustine grass mixed with crabgrass and other weeds.

Back when Sam Snead played this course I suspect it was impeccable! But that was a long time ago!

I really wanted to love this round of golf and I will never come back!

It might be helpful to know that they basically have 3 tee positions: black is 6000 yards the white tees are 5400 yards and the gold tees, when you could find them, was 4800 yards.

Greens were better than ever. Holes 1 and 2 coukd use some drainage help but ok over all

Great value for 18 and cart. Paid $40. Played as 2-some and finished in 3 hours. Two holes currently under repair (3/13) but fun lay out with dog legs and water protecting so approach shots. Back 9 is in better shape than front 9. Great course for beginners and someone just looking to get a round in. Course conditions are on their way to getting better but still have a way to go. I was happy with the round.

I used to come this course often because of the proximity to my home. Regardless of the proximity, I will never return to Costa del Sol Golf Club. About 40% of the time I have gone to Costa del Sol I was told I could not play for one reason or the other. When I am allowed to play, the tee boxes are unmaintained, there are several holes on the greens, among other problems. The staff, with exception to the cart ladies, must cost the club several hundreds of dollars a week with the amount of business they reject. I highly recommend looking at other golf courses as you probably will not be able to play even with a tee time.
