About
Just a short distance southwest of the Miami International Airport, the golf course at Costa dels Sol Golf Club is a challenging public course that also boasts scenic views. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this course's difficult comes from the narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The greens are medium sized with some being slightly elevated. Water hazards come into play on the majority of the holes and there are also some sand bunkers as well. The signature hole of the course is the par 3 14th hole, which requires a tee shot past water. Costa del Sol Golf Club also has five long, narrow par 5s as well as some scenic par 3s.

Golfer Reviews
STAY AWAY!
This was by far the worst course I have ever played. I normally don't write reviews, but I thought I should warn people before they go out and play this course. It was not very well maintained at all. The greens were a mess. It was like putting on a fairway ( that has been neglected for several months). There were holes that were regulation greens because there was a lot of construction going on, but that is not an excuse for the other holes that did not have work being done. The staff was nice but not helpful at all. I had a shot go into a bunker and it fell into the sand that had not been raked by the players ahead of us. Because there are no rakes for the bunkers!! To say the least please save yourself and find a playable course.
Need to Close Course
I hardly write reviews on this site but i feel compelled to warn golfers about this course. I have played this course on occasion and it has been average conditions. The most recent time the course was in deplorable conditions. There are many temp greens and the standards green are in horrible condition. The teebox and fairways are in extremely poor shape. The only plus I finished in a little bit over two hours because no one wants to play this dump.
Great Old Course - but awful condition
Really too bad they have let this course go -- it's actually a nice layout - but it's in awful condition. Weed infested and the greens might be the worst I've ever putted. They need to either bulldoze it - or totally redo it. In spite of the poor condition of the course - staff was great and food was even better.
Nice local course
Only downfall was that the Greens were in bad shape but was told they are being worked on. I recommend to try their restaurant, the food was incredible.
Poor conditions
The fairway is in poor conditions. The greens are ok but they basically don't have any slopes so the only challenge of the course becomes the water (there's a lot of water) plus the fact the course is pretty narrow and you can go out easily if on you're a great golfer
Cow Pasture
Unless you are paying less than $15.00 to play 18 holes it is not worth the time you spend playing. All of the greens are in terrible shape and some of them don't have greens. Some of the holes the greens are in such bad shape that they have taken an area of the fairway, next to the original "green" and made it into a green. The only way I would consider playing this course again is if I got it for free and I would have to think about it.
Good design but poor conditions
The course has a good design but the greens and fairways are in terrible conditions. It seems that they are trying to recover the course
The course is very narrow
Greens are in poor shape, but it does look like the are trying to in prove that.very narrow fairways.
The WORST COURSE in earth
The WORST COURSE in earth, will never recommended even to my worst enemy. Staff was the worst of the worst too, they treat me like they didn't care that I wasn't happy.
Horrible greens on the front nine.
3rd hole had a green carved into the fairway marked off with spray paint. . Hard dirt on most other greens. Back nine was a bit better but not by much.
poor course condition
the golf course conditions are extremely poor. will not play there again. it's a shame because money was spent to improve the resturant and the pro shop, which both ended up very nice. they paved the parking area which again came out looking very nice. i wish they had spent that money on improving the acutal course. rarely have i seen a course in such horrible conditions. i like the course but until they improve conditions i will not return. if they do i would love to play there again.
Course needs work
Course needs plenty of updating. Greens needs fixing up.
Hard Course due to Maitenence
This course is a good value due to the cheap green fees. The upkeep of the course its self leaves a lot to be desired. The greens, one of the most crucial parts of any self respecting golf course, were dry and hard with scab like patches all over most of the 18 greens. Then moving on the the Tee boxes which where uneven, full of divots and hard packed sand which made teeing a ball up somewhat challenging. Other then those detracting statement I really enjoy this course and play it often due to the friendly staff and great value. Hopefully the groundskeepers will be out in force to get the course in shape soon.
This course is completely overpriced!
The course is overpriced when compared to other local courses in much better shape. The staff was rude, and there was no starter to dictate the pace of play. Definitely not worth the amount of money charged!
Patchy conditions
Tee boxes to fairways to greens and bunkers.....one word - PATCHY.
Costa del Sol "no mas"......
I played Saturday but just because there was nothing else available in the morning. The greens, fairways and overall course conditions were awful. Weeds, bare ground, just not acceptable. It's really a shame as the course is nicely located and could be a great short course if maintained properly. Layout is very narrow with some nice challenging holes, and forces you to use a lot of irons and hybrids. It needs to be taken over for it to be remotely playable....Current management does little to improve it. They've just added a new patio and outdoor eating area but it does nothing to change the appeal of the course.....if I were to choose to golf there because of the food, I would suspect you are not a very good golfer. "No Mas."
Ok to play
Close to TPk easy to access
Course condition fair
Friendly staff
Good price
Golf carts
half way through the round I had to change the Golf Cart, received a second one in same poor operating condition, feel bad for the Bistro restaurant that is way better then the overall condition, the lady at the counter did not even ask why I was changing the cart. Below average customer service. Balls at driving range are sooooooo bad is kind of funny. I just don't get it , such an upgraded facilities and nice Restaurant, but the other items leave much to be desired.
OK for practice. Forget anything else
Not maintained. Relatively boring track with two or three interesting holes. Moderate Condo development course. Greens are really poor. Tee boxes are chewed up and not repaired. Fairway is only okay with rough just grass that isn't cut. Little to no shot shaping required. FLAT. Bunkers are poor to very poor. Little to no sand in bunkers. Okay and relatively cheap for Miami if you just want a practice round.
