Costa Del Sol Golf Club
About
Just a short distance southwest of the Miami International Airport, the golf course at Costa dels Sol Golf Club is a challenging public course that also boasts scenic views. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this course's difficult comes from the narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The greens are medium sized with some being slightly elevated. Water hazards come into play on the majority of the holes and there are also some sand bunkers as well. The signature hole of the course is the par 3 14th hole, which requires a tee shot past water. Costa del Sol Golf Club also has five long, narrow par 5s as well as some scenic par 3s.

Water + Houses Everywhere!!
This course is a good value provided that you do not have unexpected slices in your game. Houses are on the course and water is throughout. Many holes have water in front of the tee boxes which raise the level of difficulty considerably for golfers who are inconsistent.
If you are good at golf then have fun.
Location - This course is located in a complex and looks like the complex is built around the course with houses in between holes and all around. This poses a few problems. Number one, if you are in danger of hitting a slice on a drive, you are going to have a couple of holes where you can directly slice it into oncoming traffic. My room mate slices often and did not enjoy the course because of it. Also the houses are DIRECTLY on the course, meaning you can easily hit windows etc. Was forced to drive through neighborhood streets as this is where the path goes as well.
Difficulty - Greens are narrow. The location makes this course difficult.
Condition - Decent condition, the greens are being redone half at a time so its not great but i would not rate it horrible slightly below average. Tee boxes are slightly above average but some where sandy.
Staff - Very friendly, course is a bit tricky to navigate and the manager (i assume he was the manager) met us a few times as he traversed the course and chit chatted with us. Had no problem with any staff member what so ever.
Features - Beverage trolley drives around on the course, i enjoyed this, maybe this is a feature on many upper level golf courses but I have never seen it before.
Overall - If you are typically a good driver and a good iron hitter (some greens where near the street) go for it with a good golfnow discount. Otherwise stay away you will have a poor time with your concentration being on avoiding hitting cars and windows rather than the game itself.
For the money it's pretty good
The course is challenging with lot's of water hazards. The greens were fast and in good shape, The fairways need some work. For the $15 we paid with cart, it was well worth it. They have a beautiful restaurant that has been newly renovated.
Very narrow course, tee boxes need a lot of attention and the greens need to be cleaned, leafs everywhere.
Not a good beginner course as the fairways are very narrow and course is not in good shape.
Had to argue to get my cart
I arrived early to hit the driving range and the young girl in the pro shop gave me a hard time and wouldn't give me the golf cart that was included until I pressed the issue. I understood that their carts were limited at the time, but seeing as how I already paid for my cart I didn't agree that I should be penalized for their lack of carts.
Major Downturn
I have been playing in this course for many years, it has had it's ups and downs, but recently just last week, it fell completely of my list of courses that I would play regularly, The greens are now the worse that I have ever seen, in some spots it is just plain dirt while others have weed patches on them that instead of treating it they just simply mow it down really short which all it does is creates bumps so when you putt the ball just rolls and hops up and down, The tee boxes are also full of weeds and are mostly dirt as well and the fairways look more like a cow pasture and now to top it off they have raised the prices it now costs $42.00 from 7 am to 12 pm! it was $32 before which was acceptable somewhat but $42 now?
No more walking on the weekends?!?
It seems that Costa has stopped allowing walking on the weekends. Although I understand they are looking to speed up the pace of play issue that plagues them it is sad that they went this route. The course is perfectly set up for walking and they should promote it more.
It looks like they have moved the tee-box on 11, makes the hole very challenging but your in the path of people coming down 10.
Still recommend the course because of the price and proximity.
Stay away
Holes 1-9 are in terrible shape. Course is extremely close to houses and active street traffic. Tops of the golf carts have mildew on them. Beverage cart girl very rude and inattentive.
Bottom line stay away.
Challenging course,
I have played here before. It is a very challenging course that is fun and interesting to play. Needs some work still, but it has
improved. No GPS, no cart girl so bring your own and no
snack bar, yet, but it is apparently being redone and for a
relatively inexpensive nice round of golf, I do recommend it.
Great course but no frills.
Very nice well kept course. However for playing on a Sunday it was unusual for the snack shop / restaurant to be closed and the beverage cart did not make any rounds. Also there are no restrooms other than the pro shop.
Nice course and challenging
Pretty challenging course. I went with 3 more friends and had a great time.
Good course to practice on.
Short course at a little over 6000 yds from the whites but you need to be accurate. #10 is a nice par 5 # 14 is a great short par 3 over water. Staff is super friendly and thay are working really hard on the course and ammenities. Club house and the new grill are looking great.
The course setup really feels like they tried to squeeze 18 holes in the middle of a residential area.
Every hole seems to have either a road or houses about 5 yards off of the fairway. The greens are in decent shape, but the tee boxes could use some work.
Not worth paying $40 for a round
This is a good course but not worth the price. Greens have improved but still very bumpy. Fairways are horrible shape, especially 10, between un-kept rough and ant hills everywhere, 10 has no drainage so it is a swamp.
If you are looking to go out and practice some shots and paying less than $25 this is the place for you.
Easy parking,great location,great price
This course is great value to play during the winter, course needs more attention to the greens,it has its difficulty, water hazards narrow fairways that run parallel to main streets .the staff is supper friendly and the parking is great, close to the pro shop.
It has great potential once club house is finished
The location is ideal. On e the final upgrades are competed it will be my one of my first choices.
Layout is very nice, greens are terrible.
Layout is very nice and mature with some well designed par fives and short par fours. The greens are terrible but for the price it was OK.
Not bad IF they keep the prices down.
Costa del Sol is in need of some attention. The fairways are somewhat rough (lots of divots needing repair, etc.). The rough is so long and thick that if you don't hit the fairway you probably won't find your ball (I go through over a dozen balls per round at Costa del Sol). The greens are also quite rough. The grass is choppy in several areas which makes it hard to putt accurately. The course also borders three major roads which means several holes are quite challenging because if you go even slightly out of bounds your ball is in the street. At $15-$20 per round it is worthwhile to try this course. Anything over $25 is not worth it. There are much better courses nearby that are worth the extra money.
Greens need a lot of work
If the greens were better it would've been a great day. They were bumpy and unkept.
