Costa Del Sol Golf Club
About
Just a short distance southwest of the Miami International Airport, the golf course at Costa dels Sol Golf Club is a challenging public course that also boasts scenic views. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this course's difficult comes from the narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The greens are medium sized with some being slightly elevated. Water hazards come into play on the majority of the holes and there are also some sand bunkers as well. The signature hole of the course is the par 3 14th hole, which requires a tee shot past water. Costa del Sol Golf Club also has five long, narrow par 5s as well as some scenic par 3s.

Tight course with lots of challenges, greens shocking
Greens need lots of work, rarely did the ball run true when putting. Tight and challenging course, but overpriced for the quality and condition even.......
Good to start.
in my opinion, greens are not the best.
there is a food truck we never saw and a only one water station.
other then that, course is very nice.
The course was in extremely poor shape
Although we paid only $12. The course was in such poor shape that we quit on the 9th hole
Costa in September
I play this course on a regular basis. The course was maintained but still requires attention. If the new ownership continues to improve the course conditions, this place will be a real gem. Nice bar, friendly staff.
Great value for price
The course was nice and the staff as well. The range was good. The course was challenging for me there was a nice balance of hazards and open holes. The par 3 holes were fun. I'm an average golfer so this course fit the bill for me. Others may feel the grass on the greens and fairways could be more consistent.
nice layout
decent fairways, greens need work, not a good place for slicers to play
this course is nice and very convenient
I was not allowed to play, by an error on my part I though I had booked to play on Saturday Aug 31/13 at 8:12 AM but because I had made the mistake I had booked for Friday Aug 30/13 I contacted customer service and was told that if I book another hot deal within 14 days I will get a refund for the unused booking made in error, I already booked another hot deal to play Sunday Sept 1 at 10:36 AM at killian greens golf course
a refund was offered by customer service, thank you
Decent
Decent course in fair condition. Course layout is fairly straight forward. Some greens need a lot of work, but all in all a decent course to play for the money. I would go back.
Nice design, lacks maintenance.
The course, architecturally, is very good and challenging. It has narrow fairways, lots of trees, water in almost every hole and beautiful design. Maintenance is not good: fairways have many patches of muddy grass, weeds, etc. and the greens are not well taken care of; also showing brown spots and rough, uneven parts that make the ball jump while rolling. I only recommend this course because 1. the low cost green fee and 2. I've played here before and seen the course in better shape (hopefully they'll improve the maintenance of their grass).
Challenging course, needs a little more attention
They have been improving the course, but it still needs more work, right now the best feature is the Club House Restaurant which is really good.
the plot is horrible, very tight and sloppy ....
the plot is horrible, very tight and sloppy, also very expensive for what it offers
Great course for the price.
This course has definitely come a long way from the condition it was a couple years back . Recently had the opportunity to play twice in 1 week on this course , Saturday and Sunday afternoons respectively and the overall condition of the course is really good Only some of the bunkers require some attention and the greens are in good condition and i was told by one of the keepers that in 2-3 weeks tops the greens would be in great shape since they are working on them. The course is somewhat challenging due to the closeness of some homes and the amount of water on others but nothing major. Also there is a brand new restaurant/bar offering great food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Overall great value for the price!
Friendly staff and great course condition
Had a great experience. Greens were in great condition and fairway was maintained. Definitely be there again.
Water + Houses Everywhere!!
This course is a good value provided that you do not have unexpected slices in your game. Houses are on the course and water is throughout. Many holes have water in front of the tee boxes which raise the level of difficulty considerably for golfers who are inconsistent.
If you are good at golf then have fun.
Location - This course is located in a complex and looks like the complex is built around the course with houses in between holes and all around. This poses a few problems. Number one, if you are in danger of hitting a slice on a drive, you are going to have a couple of holes where you can directly slice it into oncoming traffic. My room mate slices often and did not enjoy the course because of it. Also the houses are DIRECTLY on the course, meaning you can easily hit windows etc. Was forced to drive through neighborhood streets as this is where the path goes as well.
Difficulty - Greens are narrow. The location makes this course difficult.
Condition - Decent condition, the greens are being redone half at a time so its not great but i would not rate it horrible slightly below average. Tee boxes are slightly above average but some where sandy.
Staff - Very friendly, course is a bit tricky to navigate and the manager (i assume he was the manager) met us a few times as he traversed the course and chit chatted with us. Had no problem with any staff member what so ever.
Features - Beverage trolley drives around on the course, i enjoyed this, maybe this is a feature on many upper level golf courses but I have never seen it before.
Overall - If you are typically a good driver and a good iron hitter (some greens where near the street) go for it with a good golfnow discount. Otherwise stay away you will have a poor time with your concentration being on avoiding hitting cars and windows rather than the game itself.
For the money it's pretty good
The course is challenging with lot's of water hazards. The greens were fast and in good shape, The fairways need some work. For the $15 we paid with cart, it was well worth it. They have a beautiful restaurant that has been newly renovated.
Very narrow course, tee boxes need a lot of attention and the greens need to be cleaned, leafs everywhere.
Not a good beginner course as the fairways are very narrow and course is not in good shape.
Had to argue to get my cart
I arrived early to hit the driving range and the young girl in the pro shop gave me a hard time and wouldn't give me the golf cart that was included until I pressed the issue. I understood that their carts were limited at the time, but seeing as how I already paid for my cart I didn't agree that I should be penalized for their lack of carts.
Major Downturn
I have been playing in this course for many years, it has had it's ups and downs, but recently just last week, it fell completely of my list of courses that I would play regularly, The greens are now the worse that I have ever seen, in some spots it is just plain dirt while others have weed patches on them that instead of treating it they just simply mow it down really short which all it does is creates bumps so when you putt the ball just rolls and hops up and down, The tee boxes are also full of weeds and are mostly dirt as well and the fairways look more like a cow pasture and now to top it off they have raised the prices it now costs $42.00 from 7 am to 12 pm! it was $32 before which was acceptable somewhat but $42 now?
No more walking on the weekends?!?
It seems that Costa has stopped allowing walking on the weekends. Although I understand they are looking to speed up the pace of play issue that plagues them it is sad that they went this route. The course is perfectly set up for walking and they should promote it more.
It looks like they have moved the tee-box on 11, makes the hole very challenging but your in the path of people coming down 10.
Still recommend the course because of the price and proximity.
