About
Just a short distance southwest of the Miami International Airport, the golf course at Costa dels Sol Golf Club is a challenging public course that also boasts scenic views. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this course's difficult comes from the narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The greens are medium sized with some being slightly elevated. Water hazards come into play on the majority of the holes and there are also some sand bunkers as well. The signature hole of the course is the par 3 14th hole, which requires a tee shot past water. Costa del Sol Golf Club also has five long, narrow par 5s as well as some scenic par 3s.

Golfer Reviews
Very poor condition overall
The course has more clover than grass on it. The greens are almost un-puttable. T-boxes are terrible shape. They need to close the course and put some good grass on it. Would not recommend this course to anyone right now.
Poor Course
One of The worst conditions course I have ever played. Very bad shape in fairways and greens, the bunkers....well...horrible. The only nice thing is that staff was very friendly.
A few surprises for the first timer
A great course and a lot of fun for the money. As a first timer, I found a few topographical surprises that made things a bit more interesting than, I suspect, they might have been for a club player. But high handicappers (like me!) and better players should find plenty to like.
My only regret: I wish I could have been permitted to walk the course, though their non-walking weekend morning policy is not at all uncommon.
Many fairways next to public streets
Too many fairways are along public streets and just separated by a fence. 2 fairways next to driving range were spoiled with practice balls ,,, it was really hard to find our ball on the fairway.
Major Improvement
No comparison with last year's course condition. Maintenance staff and management has really turned this golf course around. Tee boxes need attention though.
Avoid if possible
The course seems like it was bunched into the smallest space possible! Being Miami it makes sense, however it was neither a fun nor nice course to play. It only has 3 tees to choose from and all the tee boxes needed attention. The fairways were okay and as well as the greens, but really slow. If you are looking to have fun and enjoy a nice course this isn't the course for you. Its tighter than tour courses and just plain with nothing interesting or any interesting holes.
Much improved what a difference a couple weeks make
Greens are now in much better shape. There is a scramble every week on Saturday which is great fun for every level of play
Restaurant and bar facilities are fantastic...don't know how they do it for the price!
A Great Experience
This course offers a lot of challenges on the course with a friendly staff always willing to help. The course filled with narrow fairways, water hazards and doglegs with a great scenery.
Great value course
I play Costa frequently and have made it my regular practice course over other value courses in the miami area. The staff is super friendly and not nearly as uptight as other courses. It's easy to get in a quick round bc it's not very crowded and rarely requires a tee time, even on a Saturday morning. The good pace and lack of crowds makes it great for beginners or weekend warriors just looking to enjoy a day on the greens with friends.
The course is certainly not maintained like the Blue Monster, but it's a value course and has definitely been improving in recent months. It's not near as bad as some of these reviews.. By my count, there are 4 greens that are less than ideal (primarily on the front 9) bc of either browning/weeds or they've been re-sodded and it's still taking. Tee boxes are in tough shape, but really, it's not impactful on your round. Traps could use some more powder, but they're the same as just about every value course around. Layout is quite challenging with plenty of water and some narrow fairways, but also a few fun holes where you can just grip it and rip it.
I'd recommend Costa to anyone who is looking for a cheap price, good pace (3-4 hrs max) and a fun day with a friendly and easy going staff.
Recent Improvements and Reasonable Rates ...
The recent overseeding of the greens have greatly improved course conditions. The friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices, along with improved course conditions and a nice restaurant made for a good round of golf. I will take friends to this course.
The course was in bad shape
The greens were terrible! They were many areas that were unplayable due to the weeds and huge "craters" on the putting surface.
Challenging lay out everything else bad.
Challenging lay out, but not maintained at all. The greens were terrible except for one, the tee boxes were in bad shape and ant hills were all over the fairways. I asked for a refund.
Tight course with lots of challenges, greens shocking
Greens need lots of work, rarely did the ball run true when putting. Tight and challenging course, but overpriced for the quality and condition even.......
Good to start.
in my opinion, greens are not the best.
there is a food truck we never saw and a only one water station.
other then that, course is very nice.
The course was in extremely poor shape
Although we paid only $12. The course was in such poor shape that we quit on the 9th hole
Costa in September
I play this course on a regular basis. The course was maintained but still requires attention. If the new ownership continues to improve the course conditions, this place will be a real gem. Nice bar, friendly staff.
Great value for price
The course was nice and the staff as well. The range was good. The course was challenging for me there was a nice balance of hazards and open holes. The par 3 holes were fun. I'm an average golfer so this course fit the bill for me. Others may feel the grass on the greens and fairways could be more consistent.
