Miccosukee - Marlin and Dolphin
Both the Marlin and Dolphin were both very nice courses. Most of the holes were surrounded by sand traps that were in great condition. I signed up as a single but joined up and played as a two-some. There was a couple ahead of us that let us play through. We completed 18 holes in 3 hours.
The putting greens were well maintained and fairly consistent.
When I signed I signed in the pro shop made no attempt to pair me up. Getting Golf carts was not straight forward. I had to find working to show me where to go. Very little customer service.
However, really enjoyed the course and would recommend to others.
Great course for Snowbirds
The course was quite empty so I moved along very well at just over 3 hours. Conditions were very acceptable with greens smooth and reasonably fast.
Fair amount of water and every green well guarded with traps.
Great test for the average golfer
Way above expectation and average
I was really surprised of the beauty of this course - we played front 9 Marlin and back 9 Dolphin.
And on a Thursday afternoon there were maybe 20 golfers on courses - perfect day!
Lots of water, nice fairways, plenty of bunkers ..if anything the green were damaged of players not repairing their marks - which should be a disqualifying element in golf, so annoying!
best course I have played so far in South Florida!
Course in pretty poor shape
I played this course a year ago, and it has really deteriorated. The greens are in horrible shape with crab grass weeds growing all over the place. It's a shame since the course has such a great layout to keep it in such bad conditions. Its sister courses dolphin and marlin are in better shape but if they don't take care of their greens they'll be in as bad condition as Barracuda and soon. The pluses: super friendly staff, good layout, great pace of play, and great value for the low price. If you're gonna play here, play dolphin and marlin, avoid barracuda.
Beautiful and Well Maintained Course
A great experience from the moment we arrived until we finished drinks and food in the clubhouse. Will definitely play here again if in the area.
Don't pay higher !
Good challenge with some water but there greens and fairway are so so.
Marlin / Barracuda
Marlin is in very good condition - Barracuda the greens are not in good conditions
The course has a really good layout and challenging.
I play here often and love the layout of the course. The staff is friendly and the price for beer and food are excellent.
Good value
Round was cut short by storms... 8 holes played were nice! (Marlin)
having fun
rough was little heavy for everyday play and sand traps need a little more sand more than a inch deep. otherwise very good course
Well maintained
Great deal for this course. Friendly staff and well maintained course, wish players would care more to fix their divot marks but none the less a great course.
Challeging course
The courses will challenge all aspects of your game. The rough tends to be high. Fairways are wide yet water comes into play on several holes. Greens are in good shape.
Excellent course, greens, layout, pace
If you don't mind the drive out west on surface roads this is the place. Similar to jacaranda, Shula or crandon with firm greens and well maintained grass. Only issue is no one repairs divots or ball marks , very sad.
NICE HIDDEN COURSE
Nice course, fairways was in good shape, greens where fast and in good condition. Nice layout. People working at the proshop and the golf baggers was very friendly, we were a bit late and they calm us and telling us to take our take no need to rush etc. etc. They also let us choose the tww nine holes to play as per our handicap (4 players) Was a very nice day. We play the Marlin course and it was in the same condition as the Baracuda.
Great course
Miccosukee is a great course, great setup, challenging layout, lots of water, greens in very good conditions
nice greens
Course is well maintained, used to cater to Web.com tour. Sand traps are in good conditions. Recommended ,but needs updated clubhouse.
The greens are bad situation
The course is in bad shape !! I Dont like this course ! The price is good !!
Great option when in Miami
It's a bit out of the way for most people and has a very typical Miami course feel, but has to be one of the best in Miami (aside from the VERY expensive courses). The conditions were quite good, but as usual in Miami, the rough is mostly St. Augustine that creeps in, so stay in the fairway. The bunkers were very hard, but it had just rained the night before. Aside from that, the fairways and greens were very good, the layout fun (requires at least one or two rounds to really know what to do) and the staff VERY friendly and helpful. I live in Orlando and am spoiled with the number and quality of courses around home, but this would fit in nice here and would be a regular stop for me as it will be when I am in Miami.
