The course is very well maintained and staff are kind.

Price is reasonable.

Only one thing is that it's a very difficult book a tea time. But overall is okay.

Course was in great shape, but play was backed up. That wasn’t helped by a grounds keeper who inexplicably pulled a flag and proceeded to water a green while we were standing on the tee box. It was disappointing that all concessions were closed at 6pm.

Pace was slow but not a surprise, since a local tournament was on the course. Plus I ended up as a single, behind multiple foursomes. So an acknowledgement of slow play, rather than a complaint.

On-course water options seem to be a little better, though I would still like to see more opportunities to get a *cold* drink out on the course.

It's a testament to the superintendent and team how well the course has held up despite a very hot summer. Greens were superb.

Beautiful new sand in the bunkers (though it's still settling, so you might get a few surprises).

I play several courses in the Raleigh area. Lonnie Poole is one of the best. Not easy to get on but we’ll worth it.

Overall, the course is in very good condition going into the fall. Unfortunately, many groups ahead of us didn't know to rake the bunkers or fix ball marks on the greens.

Green speed was really nice for the average golfer. The native areas are being allowed to grow.

Choose your tees according to your ability and you'll love the course.

Great course to play and see where your game is at. Very challenging especially for a first time not knowing how some of the fairways are playing. The greens were slower than I expected but may have been a result of recent rains. Will look to play the course again.

I love this course! The layout is challenging but fair. My only complaint it the pace of play. It is always packed no matter if you are playing on a Tuesday afternoon or Saturday. Usually the culprit is players letting their ego get the best of them and playing to far back. The Wolfpack tees are a good test for the average player yet people want to go back and they can’t break a 100. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Maybe they should recommend what tees to play based off the players handicap. The course conditions are always great due to the NC State agronomy school. Great job ladies and gentlemen! If you haven’t played this course definitely do just be prepared for a long round.

Caught the course post aeration and under some repairs but it was otherwise in great shape and challenging. Plenty of tees for whatever the skill set. A few blind shots where course knowledge helps, but nothing unfair and expected for a first time out. Highly recommended.

When we got to the course only then were we told the greens had been aerated and we would have to play the firstc9 holes twice.

This course has been in incredible shape all summer. Love playing here. Not easy, but everything is in great shape. Pace is the only problem, and the ranger came by on 12 to try and help. It did pickup a bit on the back 9.

Love this course. I have only one complaint, but it's a big one: no drinking water on the course, other than two water fountains on the same hole and then at the turn. Walking this hilly course in 96 deg weather and 85% humidity is no easy task. The lack of drinking water is a major problem. I easily lost 5+ lbs of water weight after this most recent round. I cannot understand this decision, even in a post-COVID time.

Our foursome had a great time playing the course. The staff was especially helpful. After determining it was out first time, a staff member took us outside and showed us around. The Starter was nice and informative. A great day for us!

If you have a chance to play Lonnie Poole, take it. I can go into more detail, but it's worth a play, even at full price.

Enjoyed the course. The cart showed that we were 19 mins ahead of schedule; however the ranger felt we needed to pick up the pace since there were two free holes in front of us. The other cart in our foursome left and went ahead in order to speed up. It was cart path only, again, the two carts behind us must have had special instructions since they were all over the fairways.

Great track in great condition. Enough challenge for the good players from the back tees and generous fairways for the not so good. Greens were a little shaggy for the hot weather, but still rolled pretty good. Will be back.
