Pinecrest Golf Club

First time playing here. Play was a little slow, 4 1/2 round. Practice facilities were top notch. Beside holes where water came into play, course was open, flat, with large greens. Sand traps need some work. Taxes and fees added several dollars to quoted fee. Overall was good experience at Pinecrest.

Have played most of the other Brown Golf courses in the area and this is going to be our favourite. Just enough water and fun holes. Course was not crowded and we played at a good pace. Didn't go in clubhouse except to register so can't really rate the staff.Will definitely come back.

We came back to play as the course was in good shape.

Decided to drive up I-95 to try out a Hilton Head area course. Course had dormant fairways and slick greens. Tough conditions for the off season but a course I would return to play during the summer.

Layout was nice, demanding accurate drives and a good putting touch. Don't leave your approach above the pin! There were two threesomes who knew each other and decided to rejoin on the fourth hole but they let us play through.

Make plans to play Pinecrest soon.

Course had several tee markers so great for all levels of golfers. We used carts but noted that for walkers the distance between holes was fairly long. Challenging dog legs, water and sand traps.

There should be someone as starter/ranger to keep pace moving. On one hole there were 3 twosomes and a foursomes just about ready to finish play behind us. Course layout is very nice with water on or along many holes. Greens very slick with apparent aeration and top dressing recently completed. Very dry and hard ground conditions on almost every hole. For $30 on golfnow, a good overall deal on a fabulous weather day.

Other than the cart paths needing lots of work.We had a fun time.The bag man is the nicest guy you want to meet.Stay happy my man.

This course is well structured and challenging. It’s a fun and fair track with better than average fairways and well protected fast greens. We enjoyed playing this golf course.

We had a great time, we played with a gentleman named Joe who was a local in the area! The cart paths need work along with some.of the carts. The staff was very friendly and courteous I look forward to playing the course again!

Great course. Grreens were fabulous for January. Fairways were brown - but was expected. Not too busy - so we zipped around very quickly. Will play again - for sure.

Very good course kept in great condition. Not overly hard but still challenging non the less.

Considering the hurricane had only passed through a couple of months ago this course was in tremendous condition, as have been all the other courses played. The greens were superb ii not a little speedy compared with English ones! Well done to all concerned!

As a single I was able to get on ahead of my tee time, which is a nice courtesy. Played with two friendly and talented golfers. The layout is unique, fun and challenging. I always like courses that make you think and this one does. And water and sand are constant features. A great layout.

Greens in great shape. Perfect speed. Fairways dry though.

Solid 3.8 - 4.0. Interesting hole design. Long dIstances between greens and tees remain a negative because they hurt the pace of play. 5-hour rounds occur regularly. Shot values on most holes nonetheless make Pincrest a fun place to play. Golfers would likely overlook the longer play times if Pinecrest sold a quality and a good cup of coffee.

Had a wonderful round with a few exception when we came up to the back 9 - two groups ahead of us had 6 people - how can they allow that on a Friday? We did not see a Marshall after the first two holes - so yes that was a problem and slowed the pace quite a bit. The mosquitos were very ferocious and there were tons of them no thanks to Mathew - bring your bug spray. Greens did not hold well considering all of the rain and were somewhat hard to read. Considering all of the courses were closed in Hilton Head we felt very fortunate to be playing at all - this course overall was nice with the few exceptions noted above. Loved hearing the band coming into the 18th green - nice.
