Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course

It was a perfect morning on the links at Lanier Islands. The weather was warm with no much wind and the course was in great shape. Greens were rolling smooth and the fairways were nice and tight and not a weed in sight. Love that all the high grass in the roughs was cut down and the views were outstanding of the lake with 14 holes on the course having views of Lake Lanier. I like to call it "Pebble Beach Atlanta."

Wonderful and very nice staff as well. Very accommodating!

Winter course conditions are a 4 out of 5.

Pace was very good.

Clubhouse renovations are ongoing which limits parking, range access, & amenities.

When construction is completed later this spring this course is going to be a dynasty.

Lake Lanier is usually a solid course to play, but at the moment the drawbacks outweigh the value. The driving range is under construction, the clubhouse is also under construction, restrooms are not operational, and the food and beverage offerings are subpar. Hopefully, once all the construction is complete, the course will regain its value from a playing and overall experience standpoint.

This is one of the best courses to play in metro Atlanta. Very scenic course. The course is always in great condition. Staff is very friendly. You have to hit straight to score well on this course.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. They are always wonderful there. Course was fun and challenging! Great, fast and true greens. Very scenic golf with 14 holes on the lake. Highly recommend!

The course is always greatly maintained even in the off-season. The greens are fast and True. And the renovation of the range into a lighted part three course is going to be a phenomenal addition.

We love playing Legacy. It’s been about 15 years playing there. Players card over the years has made it at least semi affordable. Golf is expensive anywhere you go so go play this golf course. Greens are fast course in great shape.,staff is the best

Legacy has a great layout with good Bermuda greens and a very friendly staff I would recommend that everyone play this course for the beautiful layout!

I have played all over the US and I still get excited when teeing it up at Legacy. Every shot is a test. The course layout is fun, the staff is over the top nice. Highly recommend!

Nicest views from any public course in North Atlanta.Greens are good and course is overall in great shape. Challenging and lots of risk reward shots on all par 4’s and 5’s . Staff is helpful and friendly. I play all over the Southern United States and this is one of the best spots period for A fun and challenging layout

Course is in great shape for winter golf, greens are good and fast. Overall course is a lot of fun and the layout is superb. Plenty of risk reward shots on about every hole. Staff is great and they have anything you could possibly need. Lots of work being done on new clubhouse remodel and building a lighted par 3 short course . My favorite course in North Atlanta and the views are absolutely stunning around the Lake vs other courses beside highways or busy streets and houses.

Course was in great shape. The design is very challenging, lots of forced carries. But the views and design was worth it. We will play again.

Got to the course early so I could eat breakfast and warm up on the range, only to find out that they’re renovating the clubhouse or something and just have a couple of trailers outside. Also they are turning the driving range into a par 3 course and just have a couple of nets to hit into. Really wish I would have known all this before I booked or I would have played elsewhere. Not worth the $150 it is to play there. Course was in decent condition considering it rained 2 days ago. Other than that I’d save your money and spend half of what the greens fees are here to play somewhere else

The course layout is challenging and the fairways and greens are in descent shape. The pace of play is terrible and no one was pushing the slow players to move. Ruined what could have been a nice round

Five stars. This is probably the nicest course I’ve ever played. It doesn’t get much better than this outside of a private club. Really good food is free. Great practice area. Nice staff. Everything you want.
