Rating 72.7

With an excellent location surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains to one side and overlooking Georgia's Great Lake on the other, Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course provides the perfect setting for a round of golf. The diverse, rolling landscape ranges from dense forest to open meadows to pristine beaches. Water has a strong presence throughout the golf course, coming into play on 12 holes. Many of them play right along the lake's shoreline. At 6,580 yards, the course is not particularly long but it is still a formidable challenge for long hitters since it requires quite a few demanding carries over the water. One of the most memorable holes for this reason is the par-4 12th, which presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity if you dare to cut the corner.

Best Course in Atlanta

This is my favorite course in Atlanta. It is challenging. However, you can't beat the scenic views, staff friendliness, and course layout. I highly recommend it if you haven't played it.

Great course to play

I love the course. It’s always a challenge: at least 11 holes on or across water, with well kept greens & fairways, many tight landing areas , and spectacular views around the lake. The staff is great and friendly. And if you play the early morning they have the best cheese biscuits, hot dogs , snacks and drinks included with your greens fees. I would recommend the course to anyone.

Great

Course was in great shape. Greens slower than usual due to rain. Only concern was they put me with 3 other players and we each had a cart. Not the best decision. Play was slow

Very nice

Where ti start. Ut was 90 degrees course was dry and they still had kost of rhe par 4's cart path only ridiculous i can understand rhe par 3. Understand wanti g to eep the course nice but that is a little to much we both have bas knees and it is hard to have to walk 100 yards to the green up hill o am sure this is going to get alot of nasty remarks. We ask about it beimg cart path only to be told the cart would let you know. That being said almost all the par 4's were cart path only. For that amount of money you should be able to drive to your ball. We like the course all the concessions were included for the exception of alcohol. Would we play agian only if tou can drive to your ball its a waste to pay for cart when you cant use it.

Fantastic time

I played here on a Saturday by myself. I arrived 1 1/2 hours early to get warmed up. Before I get to the course review I must say that every single person I came in contact with that works is was so friendly and very helpful. That alone will have me coming back. The course is going to challenge you. It is short. I normally play from the whites but I played the blues. There are numerous shots that need to carry 200 yds over water. The views through out this course are stunning. The course is in fantastic condition. I will be back. Also breakfast you get a great biscuit and for lunch there are Blimbie subs and Nathan hotdogs.
