Wet and wild
Saw a few alligators on the cart path only wet and wild day!I hit my ball as far away from the cart path on most shots ,Idont even know why I had a cart.every ball plugged and had no roll. Love the course and community!
Pretty good
Course was in good shape, fairways excellent, greens excellent. Tee boxes were a little furry but had been over seeded and just need to be cut. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was compared to last time I played there 2 years ago. Staff was good.
Excellent cart staff
The cart/starter staff were excellent being it was out first time there. Pro shop was very helpful and check in process went well. The snack bar was not enforcing mask requirement, especially with large groups of players who had finished and were drinking after their round. Overall, except for the mask issue it was a good golfing experience.
Course condition
Keep it in the fairway and you will be ok but a little rough when you stray not really what I was expecting but I was playing on a budget
Wet, busy, but enjoyable
Was forced to play front 9 sharing a cart with another single. Not acceptable during Covid. Luckily other golfer offered to walked and did not ride in cart. Said they didn't have enough carts but after 9 holes, all courses full any PLENTY of empty carts. They apologized and let us have a second cart in the back nine.
As like all courses I've played down here, all the areas around and short of the green are WAY too wet! Buried more then a few shots into the greens.
First 2 greens on Sand course had major lines of dead grass, probably from leaking hydraulics when cutting grass.
Was pretty upset at the start but staff was friendly about forcing us to be in same cart if such a thing is possible.
Would play again, hopefully when it is not as wet.
Good course
Good, not great. Nice staff, great pace of play. Just not a real exciting course. The fairways were good, the greens are good, nice middle of the road 18. Certainly worth the $35 I paid, but that’s the limit for me.
Sandpiper
Found the golf course in great shape and everyone was courteous and friendly
Great course
The courses were great condition considering the rain we have had. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will play again.
First time at Sandpiper Bay
Had a really enjoyable round at Sandpiper Bay, playing Sand and then Piper. Course was in good shape even though it had taken in quite a bit of water recently. I was matched up with a husband and wife from Virginia and we had a great time. Course was fair and the greens were consistent though a little on the slow side.
Staff was very friendly and made sure everything was moving even though there was several large groups playing that morning. Would definitely recommend playing Sandpiper Bay if you are in the Sunset Beach/North Myrtle Beach area.
Great Choice
We have visited Sandpiper Bay twice now and very happy with golf and course. This year we were very disappointed that we were not able to recover my son's SW that he inadvertently left on a green. He reported to the ProShop right after our round and we checked a couple of times - no joy. Even though the club has his name and phone number on top of grip. We had higher expectations for the patrons and the club accountabilities.
