Winter Park Golf Course

This is a real gem of a golf course. It’s a short course but a lot of fun to play. Hit it down the middle and you will be fine. Just be aware that several holes out of bounds if you slice or hook the ball. Lots of roll out on the fairways. Fun course.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

We had a family foursome golf outing. We had. A great time. The course is in excellent condition. The staff were wonderful as usual. Always a great place play.

I’ve played this course probably 100 times or more since the redesign in 2016. Until maybe a year ago or so, it used to be amazing. Unfortunately, the city has obviously let it deteriorate substantially. The tee boxes are mostly dirt. The bunkers were a mess. The fairways are sparse and covered in weeds. The turf around the greens is incredibly tight and mostly dirt. The greens are OK actually but I’ve seen them so much better in the past. It looks like the sprinklers haven’t run in ages.

The city of Winter Park should be ashamed. This used to be such a gem in the heart of the city, but now it’s obvious that the city doesn’t want to make the investment maintain it for whatever reason. It’s a true shame to see it in this state.

It was a nice course to walk. It was bizarre to play with cars driving around.

A walk only course that takes you back in time to older tradional golf. You have the feel of playing an old golf course like St. Andrews. I played golf with a gentleman from upstate New York. He moved to Winter Park for good reason. Like the course, Winter Park takes you back to when people were treated like family. My playing partner (Bob) shared a lot of the history of the country club and town. He made me feel like I should back my bags and move here. The tee blocks, fairways and greens were in excellent shape, even though the area did not have rain in several days making the greens very fast.

Fun course. Great location! Great staff and fair price.

This nine hole course was in poor condition. Very little grass on the tee boxes, too many weeds in the fairways and the greens were in poor shape.

The redesign of the greens was botched. They are much to big and way too sloopy. The false fronts on most of them combined with the scarcity of flat putts creates a slow pace of play.

The bureaucrats that had a hand in the redesign chose the wrong architects and that produced a golf course that isn’t fun to play.

Very walkable. Fairly easy to follow the choose layout, back and forth across city streets. Challenging in its shorter length. Staff was very helpful since it was our first visit. We'll be back
