Winter Park Golf Course

About
Dating back to 1900, Winter Park Golf Course is one of the oldest golf courses in Florida. The course and clubhouse are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Despite being a nine-hole golf course, Winter Park Golf Course is not an ordinary pitch and putt. Known for its narrow, tree-lined fairways and postage stamp greens that are heavily guarded by bunkers, the golf course presents a formidable test to even the most skilled golfers. The golf course is ideal for golfers looking to sharpen their short game skills. Besides offering a challenging game, Winter Park Golf Course has extremely affordable rates that make it a great location for catching a quick round.

Short Course
Should build more courses just like this. Great course to sharpen your short game. Need to play it a couple times to figure out how to play it. .
a great little 9 hole course with a lot of character. Greens quite difficult
Just Fantastic
This little gem in the middle of Winter Park is just the best course for a good walk spoiled. Greens are outstanding and course in in good shape overall for this time of year. If you have the ability to play here do. You won’t be disappointed
Good walking course but nothing special
This course gets a lot of hype as a great nine hole course. It’s a good easy walk, with a lot of trees. Greens are challenging but overall the course washing d if “meh” (as my grandkids would say.).
It is very popular first thing and play is quick (we played nine in about 100 min) while waiting on a few shots). Fairways were mostly fine and greens were in excellent shape.
Course is essentially in downtown winter park, which is unique and has no water hazards, which in my experience, is rare for Florida.
Certainly worth playing if you like to walk and are in the area.
Wonderful little course
My first time playing here. A unique nine holes like no other in this area. Teamed up with three people who were a joy to go round with. We walked which with the cooler weather was great. It’s not long but you still have to hit it straight. Greens could be very quick, fairways and tees more than adequate. This is golf as it was many moons ago and it’s very reasonable.
Conditioning in progress, but still fun
When I made our reservation, there was a “Course Alert”, but I could not see any specific information. When we got to the 3rd hole, we learned that there was some re-sodding, and good-sized chunks of the fairway were OOB. On the normally par 5 4th, the whole top of the dogleg was skipped, with temporary tees on the outside of the turn. But my wife hit her best approach on that hole.
The rest of the course was fine, if a little soggy in spots. It’s just the two holes north of Webster that are altered. By the time you read this review, it will probably be obsolete. Go have fun!
Cancelation policy sucks
Today it was raining cats and dogs. But for some reason the course wasn’t closed. So GN would not give a credit on the tee time. So we all had to play in horrific rain, blocked off areas and sandy greens. Is hard enough to one one obstacle. But three things working against you. Yikes
Great condition post hurricane
Staff did a great job getting the course back to play ready after hurricane Milton ripped through 2 days prior.
