Disappointed
Clubhouse is definitely falling apart. The practice putting green doesn't really even exist it's just weeds in sand. Driving range wasn't much different, pretty much just weeds not much grass to hit off of. Golf Course was completely a mess. Fairways we're mostly Bermuda grass and weeds. Lord help you if you didn't make it into the Fairway you pretty much had 10 to 12 in of overgrown weeds to head out of. I lost 8 golf balls through the 18 holes just from missing the Fairway by 10 or 15 yards. It was impossible to find your golf ball sitting in 2 foot of tall grass. I feel like the golf course owes me money for playing there. Save your money play another course.
Horrible conditions
Arrived nothing was mowed.
Greens were horrible and staff was not friendly.
Couldn’t imagine paying regular price to play this horrible golf course.
Save your money!
Course was in poor condition. Yes it has been raining a lot, but they just don’t take care of their course in general. Ball gets lost in their fairways. (That says something)
Drive on cart path only on half the holes. God forbid you drive on the grass on a par 5. An employee drove their cart all the way to us and rudely made us get off the rough with our carts. He did a great job of making you feel really small.
Needless to say we payed $30 for 18 and left after 9. After the horrible condition of the course and disrespect from the employee, It just wasn’t worth it...
great value
For the money, this is a great value. Greens are in great shape, but the course does not drain well and was very wet due to all the recent rain. If you can get a hot deal it is well worth it. Challenging holes with nice layout
Great for beginner golfers
Being one who is a beginner, this course has enough difficulty for me to grow but easy enough for me to mess up and figure stuff out.
Waste of time
Played course before was in decent shape that time , but now worst I ever seen it they never should have open today, standing water everywhere
It's sad
I golf every weekend and we decided to try out Eastwood. The course has the same sad feeling I am seeing on many courses these days. It appears as though the owners have given up. Not that this to cast shame on them as it is a considerable undertaking to maintain a single course, let alone multiple (which I have heard is the case). This course has such potential and I'm sure given the right amount of TLC it could draw the caliber of players that go to those courses I can't afford. The neighborhoods surrounding the course are fairly young (not referring to the inhabitants) and well kept. Maybe there were just too many courses built and this the natural order of things in the land of supply and demand.
Other courses offer better value
We played this course about 6 months ago and were not impressed at all at the course conditions. Decided to give it another chance. Second time and the conditions were the same if not worse. Plenty of other courses in the area that offer better value.
Eastwood Golf Course
I have played here a few times on different days. The staff are friendly . The price to play reasonable. The course is challenging enough without be to easy or hard to be bored. Plenty of wildlife around and water . I have gone at least three times the past few weeks and would recommend it. The issue I see is the restaurant itself is always closed .
Well worth it
I didn’t like this course the first few times I’ve played it but it is grown on me ....it’s very challenging... lots of water ....lots of woods.....excellent conditions compared to many courses this time of year ....well worth it.....think I paid 16 bucks if you’re anywhere nearby give it a shot
Great customer service to compliment a great course
Me and my buddies have been to most of the courses in central Florida and Eastwood is by far our favorite. Course is great, the staff is even better. Would definitely recommend Eastwood.
Good value
Course is coming back. Greens are good, fun layout, needs additional work, good value
The Greens
Played here this morning. Greens are incredible. Courses conditions were good. Staff was very nice.
Awesome value
The course has certainly improved over the last 2 years and is getting back to how it was 10 years ago, An excellent layout as always but now the greens have improved immensely and the fairways too are getting better and better.
Very affordable
Second time playing this course. Very affordable and conditions are good for the price.
Best Value Course In East Orlando
I've written reviews for this course in the past, and this one won't be much different. I'm a big fan of the layout. The difficulty is all in how you choose to play it. If you're a high handicapper not trying to hit the long ball and cut the corners, it's not overly punitive. If you're playing from the tips going for eagle on every hole, you can count on losing some balls. The greens are much improved. The aeration scars are gone, and they are in the process of, or just completed, making some of them bigger. In the past, I've played this course after a heavy rain and the drainage was not up to par, but I can't speak on that for the last several months. Lots of work has been going in to improving the course conditions, and I can say that it's definitely showing. My one request is that they get the rocks out of some of the bunkers, particularly around the ninth green. If you land in one and don't get a lucky lie, you can't play the bunker without potentially damaging a club.
The staff are always friendly to me, and the clubhouse is in good shape. For the price, you really can't beat Eastwood.
