Not Back Yet
I live within one mile and have 100's of rounds at Eastwood. I tried it again and continue to be disappointed by the course conditions this owner accepts as normal. Greens with no grass; bald tee boxes; abandoned bunkers; random holes dug around the course, will cause me to NOT to be back any time soon. Maybe next year I'll try again but I will not bring my group here.
Decent public course
- Tee boxes fine
- Staff are super friendly
- Fairways ok
- Greens have some filler but are decent
- Good layout
- Good pro-shop
- Grille is lack luster
- Value is good
- The course plays long for an amateur
- Sand traps are hard packed (lack of rakes)
If you’re looking to get in a full round at a good price it’s not a bad option. Also you will not get a cart person option on this course.
Cool Florida day at Eastwood
This course needs attention. Tee boxes were dead, Few tee box markers on front nine. Fairways were hard and not green. Greens had many burn spots. No racks on sand traps.
However, the course was very interesting and if maintained, would be very good.
I did follow a group from Ohio and they had NO idea of golf etiquette, would not let me, a single golfer play through. they were the worse part of my play.,
Another nice golf round
Course was packed from the golf show being in town but we kept moving along for the most part...if u like doglegs this is the place to be i think i remember like 12 doglegs left and only a couple right...if you can shape the ball you can chase a birdee or 2 if u cant then you could be coming in from far out on alot of holes depending on where u play from teebox wise...
Avoid Regardless of Price
This felt like a course taking in money just before it closes. Think of "tin Cup". Not maintained at all. Greens sandy and pock marked while fairways were primarily crabgrass. Not worth it at any price!!
Excellent customer service, challenging layout.
Austin and the other young fellow in the pro shop were very courteous and helpful. Not only getting us off early but helping us locate an after golf place for dinner. A favorite type of course for me as I prefer this layout with 18 unique holes using varying challenges .Used all my clubs. Will be back next time we're in Orlando.
Dont go there
Greens were horrible. Dead. No grass. Tee boxes mostly bare and dead. Fairways ok. Sand traps great.
Not bad
For the price we paid it was ok not in bad condition
Fun Course
The course was in ok shape. 4 or 5 greens had some dead spots on them but if you're not playing in a tournament for money this is a fun round of golf. The Layout makes you plan your shots and misses cost you a stroke. The thing that didn't make any sense was it hadn't rained in days and there were puddles all over. This is a good round of golf and very playable.
POOR CONDITION/ REFUSED REFUND
Went with a couple of buddies. Was told the course was in top condition but it was not. We requested a refund and they refused. Would definitely reccoomend Twin Rivers instead and will not be returning.
Few greens
The course overall is in great condition but some green needs treatment also some areas before the fairway is in not good conditions, I really enjoyed playing at this golf course. Very friendly staff.
Fun layout, needs a little TLC
I played this course with very low expectations because of reviews. For $20 online you can't go wrong. The greens are beat up but at least the pin locations are away from the damage. Staff is very nice and pace of play is great.
Great course layout
I loved the course layout, lots of dog legs, lots of water in play. . Tee boxes and fairways in good shape,
However the greens were slow and patchy. No rakes for sand traps. Staff were very friendly.
Had a great day., will play again.
Interesting course
Enjoyed my play on this course. Was playing behind a woman’s league, so play was slow.
Great Round!
Played here this Saturday with a buddy of mine. We have both played here before. Course was in overall good shape. A very reasonable price for a round a golf. 18 holes took right around 4 hours and 20min. We will definitely be back again soon.
gave it one more shot
The new greens they had put in last year are certainly no longer new. many barron spots and bald patches. the course was pretty wet after all the rain we had and people continue not to use the cart paths and drive in wet areas leaving ruts that will take alot of time to heal.I wouldn't be surprised if the course was not a course next year.
Maybe try in the summer
Traps had 100% dirt. No rakes either. Divot mix was sand and dirt. Course does not drain well, hence no sand in the bunkers. Had to wipe mud off the ball every shot except on 2nd putts, even though there was mixed sun and clouds and not 1 raindrop. Greens were dirt in places, very bumpy in other places. Tee boxes were not good.
Maybe try in the summer when the course dry’s out.
