Very hospitable staff
Have played this course for over 22 years. Sorry to watch it deteriorate from lack of care.
Awful!! Should be Closed!!
This course is full of weeds . The Driving range is closed. Practice putting green is full of weeds! The bunkers are full of weeds. Pot holes in the parking lot, the club house is sparse.. The bridge on the front 9 i think between 3 and 4 is rotten and say.a prayer as you cross.
When you have only played 4 holes before leaving because you have to look for your ball in the ankle sometimes mid calf deep weeds on every single fairway it’s time to pack it in.
The ONLY good thing about this course is the score card and I used points from my 18 birdies membership to play free!
HORRIBLE !!HORRIBLE!! .
To sum it up... AWFUL!!
Horrible course! Like playing in an Amazon
The grass made the course pretty much unplayable. We lost so many balls even in the fairways because the grass was so high.
Disappointed
Fairways blend with rough. Weeds everywhere. You can lose a ball in the fairway it’s cut so bad. Greens are not much better. The sand traps are
Filled with grass. Clubhouse/pro shop empty.
Driving range closed
Congratulations Eastwood - Worse Golf Course in Central Florida
First let me start off by saying the one staff member on duty was a nice guy. Secondly, for $30 to play on a Saturday morning is a complete rip off! That course should be worth $10 per round max! There are no visible Fairways, they are all completely overgrown, so overgrown that I saw residents in the community mowing down the grass on the golf course because it looks sooo bad that they don’t want to see that as a view in their backyard! Hire two or three landscaping crews for the ridiculous $30 that you charge and cut the grass please. I don’t know how but I still managed to shoot an 81.
Not worth 15.00
Everyone likes a challenge but having to look for your ball in the middle of the fairway or worse losing one in the fairway because the grass is butt-hole deep to a giraffe. The bunkers were grassy. Looks like someone said the heck with course maintenance lets go drinking. Drove over an hour to realize that I will never go back.
Don’t Go!
The course is closing permanently in August 2020. They’ve completed let it go... I’ve never seen a course in such bad shape. The bunkers have not been touched in months. One bunker had a large tortoise carcass in in. Just shell and bones. Who knows how long they just let it sit there.
For the $27 I paid on a “hot deal”, there is much better value to be had in the orlando area. Maybe in its day the course was great, but not anymore. Don’t go!
Pull this Course from GolfNow
Total ripoff. Played $30 and the place is closing up in Aug for good. The whole course is in horrible shape. Not one hole had a maintained fairway. TOTAL RIPOFF. You send me my money back.
My Last Round at Eastwood
Poor Conditions ,Mowers must be broke.High grass everywhere loose your ball in the fairway with hay everywhere.Should have been $10.00 not $30.00.Greens have diseases. My Last Round at Eastwood.Golf cart seat was rotten.
Worst Golf course in Orlando
I've lived in the Avalon area for 12 years now and Eastwood was once one of the better courses in East Orlando. Now it is easily the worst in all of Central Florida. Greens are terrible, fairways are dead, the grass isn't even cut once off the fairway. It's a disgrace and they shouldn't charge more than $10
Will never go back
Garbage, all the way around
Everything is bad, rough, fairway and greens. Board walks over water are falling apart and need repair, no water for players on the course. Course is on its last leg, shame cause the layout is great, but it needs a lot of love.
You get what you pay for
Hot deal that should not even be offered by GolfNow. Not a good reflection.Nice layout.Friendly staff. Horrible conditions. Greens were basically sand with small sprigs of rye . Wont go back. Sorry.
The course has been around for a long time.
The course has been around for a long time. It is in need of maintenance and repair which has been sorely neglected.
I have always enjoyed Eastwood. Today was the first time I was disappointed. Weather was terrible today and it got so bad that I stooped play after 6 holes due to a huge black front pushing our way. It poured buckets of rain. I asked for a raincheck even if it was for only 9 holes and was told I could not get one because it was a HotDeal. I was told I could come back later that day to play but after that rain, the course was definitely not going to be playable. I enjoy Eastwood and play there often. Just felt I should have gotten a raincheck.
Good layout, but needs TLC.
It is a fun course to play, however it needs some TLC, most of the sand traps have no sand.
