As brilliant as I remembered

I played brancepeth years ago and I brought my mate who’d never played it. I bigged it up somewhat and my gps it did not let us down.

Absolutely love the layout and variety or holes. We git in on a hot deal and laid £29.99, worth every penny.

We will be back very soon 🤩

GolfNow should know when green maintenance is happening and tell customers.

GolfNow should know when green maintenance is happening and tell customers before taking their money. This is an issue for GolfNow

Virtually all winter greens.

Pro shop staff didn’t inform that second hole was closed.

On other days though the course and facilities look like they would be excellent. Issue is with transparency of GN.

Brancpeth castle golf course

This is a negative against a very good golf course, when i booked, there no mention of taking your ball off the fairway and playing from the side rough,6 winter greens and some 100 yards short of the proper greens and similar will winter tee boxes to far forward, thus not a game of golf, payed £20,worth,£14.

Gem of a course

Played Brancepeth for first time and whilst conditions were wet and 3 temp greens it was an excellent test and some great Par 3 holes playing across ravines - all in all well worth a visit if your in the area. Staff very friendly and gave us some tips on the layout before going out.

Amazing but tough course

Played this course at the end of December. I was expecting loads of winter greens but in the 18 holes only 1 was on winter green.

The tee boxes were all the winter tees but they were placed to still make each hole a challenge.

Staff in pro shop were welcoming and friendly

The bar area was open and the bacon roll & coffee was well priced for a club house and served by very friendly staff.

The course was busy but everyone seemed very pleasant.

I was shocked at how good a condition the course was in bearing in mind the weather we have had recently. I can't wait to play this course again when the weather improves to see it in its perfect state.

This course is WOW

Clubhouse is an old stable building tons of character. Professional very welcoming. A great shop. Driving range to practice. Nets and Putting and chipping green on the way to first Tee. Get your Par on the first as what is to follow needs good golf. Ravines are on a number of holes but this is the charm of this course. Tees are OK. Fairways are a pleasure to play from. Greens had been spiked when we played but putted amazing.

This course is a delight scenery is good. saw deer crossing the course. We had a great day on a wonderful; course. Chips were good too.

The best in County Durham

If you're looking for a golf course that stands out in the North East, Brancepeth Castle Golf Club might just be the best around.

The course is fantastic—challenging in all the right ways. The greens are quick and tricky, They're tough but in a good way that keeps you thinking. The fairways are in great shape, and the bunkers are exactly where they should be. It's a course that really tests your skills, so if you're a high handicapper, you might find it a bit tough, but that's part of the charm.

The practice facilities are spot on, a driving range, nets, putting and chipping greens. The pro shop is well-stocked with everything from clubs to clothing, and the staff are very welcoming.

Brancepeth Castle is also set to host the England Golf English Seniors Men’s Amateur Championship soon, which just goes to show how good this course really is.

All in all, Brancepeth Castle Golf Club is a must-visit if you're in the area. It’s got everything a golfer could want—great layout, excellent conditions, and a challenge that keeps you coming back for more. Just be ready for a tough, but thoroughly enjoyable, round of golf!

Greens are a little slow to what I've played before and a little boggy on on the back nine. However people let me play through and very friendly. For the time of year still a good and testing course. I will be back

Poor greens

Paid for this through golf now ,and on arrival were told only 17 holes available, and unable to compensate due to this.however the pro shop also forgot to tell us that 6 greens had been airated ,this made them virtually unplayable as greens had not been sanded or rolled after and was like playing tipping point on the green .overall the course is nicely laid out and fairways in good contion ,just the greens spoilt the round .Especially for the price

Good condition despite the rain

There has been a good amount of rain recently but the course is still great condition with only a few muddy patches here and there on the fairways. Greens for the most part we're spot on and quick. Nice scenic course with some interesting drives over valleys and a few long open greens suited me as a a high handicapper.

Fabulous course

This is one of the best courses I've played in recent years. The setting is stunning and the course layout fantastic (but it's not what I'd call one for high handicappers). Even though we had a massive downpour for hours before the round, the condition and playability of the course was still great, with the greens a real standout.

This is a somewhere I'll definitely be visiting again.
