Wonderful View of Castle Photo submitted by Dunelm22 on 02/03/2017

Pride of the north east
First time playing at brancepeth for best part of twenty years. I had forgotten How good it was. What a gem.
Excellent course
Course in immaculate condition, members very friendly, will definitely play the course again.
Excellent course
1st time playing and loved every minute , fantastic condition, greens were perfect , amazing views & surroundings on the course , giant old trees , churches with ancient graveyards, a castle , ravines & bridges , just an excellent setting
Outstanding
This golf course exceeded all expectations. I have played 5 exceptional golf courses this year and Brancepeth is definitely the best of all of them (beating Fulford in the process) Cannot wait to play this course in due course of time..
Best course I have played in a long time
This course is a good test of golf physically and mentally. From the tricky holes to the tricky hills you have to walk up and down. The whole course was in fantastic condition and the greens were fast but not too fast. If you struggle with hills and prefer the more leisurely side of golf a buggy is definitely recommended. I can't wait to play this course again.
Classic
This is a must play for any golfer, worth the money for the view's alone!
Brancepeth revisited
Firstly ,I used to be amember here 20 yrs ago and my first round since.
Quite amazing how the trees/foliage have grown in the intervening period.
What I did notice was how they had cleared lot of scrub ,especially from the par 3s making it no longer a definite lost ball if you didnt find the greens.
Overall, course in very good condition , greens were generally good but had occasional bare patches , humps( not as bad s it sounds !) was the only minor detractor from an otherwise great course in good condition for the time of yr.
Long holes and tee shot essential to being able to scoree.
Pro shop very pleasant and will deffo be back
Great course
Staff helpful, course awesome. Loads of interesting holes. 3-4 greens a bit ropey but that’s everywhere at the moment. Stuck behind the slowest two ball in history who don’t understand letting people play through. But still a great day. Probably my favourite course in the north east
Great course in County Durham
Super course - well looked after and interesting holes. Particular highlights are the par 3s, especially those around the castle.
Not a course for those who struggle walking up and down hills - unless you get a buggy of course!
Very challenging
Great course with a great layout, some long but challenging par 3’s. Very steep in places and heavy on the legs however i recommend trying this course. Set in beautiful surrounding of the Castle and if you can get the price on a Hot Deal its definitely worth it. .
Always a pleasure
Great course to play always in fantastic condition, testing course which can be challenging. Signature 9th hole is one of the best par 3’s out there. A must if local to the area or visiting surrounding areas.
Great course
What a gem. A really great golf course and a great test for all golfers will definitely be back very friendly staff
