Cost
As 2 OAP S ,we go round the county playing at different golf clubs each week , I check web sites and my app and there is 50 + spare t-off times , most days ,but they are charging visitors to much for a round , no wonder most clubs are struggling, my round at burgham was very enjoyable and the course was in excellent condition, I will be looking to book around next week at a different course , but will go back and recommend it to others .
Nice course in terrible condition
Played yesterday for 1st time in 2 years. Always loved this course in the past but it should simply not be open at the moment. Fairways so boggy in parts they were unplayable, lots if bunkers not playable as under repair, greens in lovely condition but that was the only positive point. Lots of housing building work going on around the course, don’t know if that had anything to do with how boggy it was? Such a shame a once great course is now so difficult to play on. Won’t be back for a while I’m afraid.
Course conditions
After wet weather the course was excellent and greens were in great condition, credit to the green keeper's , definitely be going back .
Grand day out
Have passed this course many times when travelling on the A1 and have always meant to stop and play a round. First time played on Saturday and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Staff really friendly and helpful. Good to have a basket of balls for warm up on the range. Course was in great condition, and although winter tees, with mats on the par 3s, all greens were in play. Only a bit damp in a few places despite the heavy rain over the last couple of weeks. Majority of members were very welcoming. Only issue was a group of members who jumped in before the pair in front of us, although we and the couple in front were due to tee off on booked times. To rub salt in it, they were really slow. Thankfully they packed in after 9 holes and the pace on the back 9 was fine. Didn’t let it spoil a wonderful, sunny, winter golf round. Will certainly be back and very happy to recommend.
Wonderful friendly course
I’ve played here a fair bit over the summer and the course has always been in great condition. Yesterday was very wet but still great condition other than unavoidable boggy areas.
The housing construction is a shame but it doesn’t ruin the experience.
The staff always provide a warm and friendly welcome. And it’s always a satisfying moment hitting a clean drive on the 18th.
The only thing that would improve this course for me would be the addition of a halfway house, but I’m nitpicking here.
Great course, absolutely would recommend.
Highly recommended
Course in excellent condition, staff very friendly and helpful
Very enjoyable
Great course, good layout, good condition, fees could gave been £25 to match up with Longhirst and Linden, but overall a good day out.
Great course
Our 4 ball played this course today and we throughly enjoyed it
bar a couple of bunkers and greens that need attention this was a joy to play great value for money aswell also you must try the breakfast Jill does a mean fry up and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating
Definitely we will be back soon 5⭐️
Great course
This is a real test of your golf, proper Championship round. All holes are different, with lots of interesting challenges.
Was really windy on our round, but we still appreciated how good a course this, played here before and will be back again. Very friendly club and bar staff.
Could be so much better
Course has a well thought out layout but lacks any care or quality in key areas
The first cut of touch didn’t really exist, meaning shots bouncing on any sloped fairway would be difficult to find when could see had just ran to no more than a foot off the short stuff
Greens were bare and uneven
Told in clubhouse after round the rough being sorted following week
Great course when dry
I’ve played here quite a few times so I knew what to expect, I wasn’t sure how bad the course was going to be, as on arrival I was told by a staff member that someone had just come off the course and said it was very wet, so I wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised at how well the course had held up to the rain, knowing it can hold the water but the greens and fairways were in good condition, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a change of scenery
me self played at Burgham
Great course but bit disappointed with greens….I’m sure it will be great in summer! Will do again in few weeks time!
Golfing Heaven
Played on Easter Sunday afternoon and we were last out so had the entire course to ourselves 3 ball.
Beautiful course great scenery all around and wide fairways but the rough will punish you.
The course still suffering from the very wet recent weather but certainly playable on preferred lies. Can't wait to go back hopeful for drier conditions. and fiber ground
Burgham Park
A very enjoyable midweek game, I almost had the freedom of the course, obviously a busy morning course but in the afternoon I was able to play at my own pace. Nice setting and the greens for February were excellent
Top course and clubhouse
Arrived about 20 minutes early checked into the clubhouse and had a nice bit craic with the staff who were very helpful and pleasant. Teed off straight away with a two ball in front who keep good pace. The course for this time of year (early February) was excellent with only the occasional damp spot. I would say this course is ideal for players of all levels. The fairways are quite wide given you confidence on the tee but at the same time the holes are quite long given you other challenges. Bunkers are strategically placed off the yellow tees at about 200-240 yrds . I never lost a single ball which might be a first for me! I highly recommend this course, clubhouse and it's friendly staff and members to everyone. I would say it's a cut above most of the inland courses nearby. Can't wait to come back and play it again in the summer.
