Long parkland course
My local course close to public transport approx 1 mile, no membership course awaiting development.
Good experience
Was pleasantly surprised as not sure what to expect. Club house was not operating as soon to be demolished however there is a small booking in room open. Very impressed with the course both condition and the challenge, greens were immaculate and very fast. Overall a great round and will certainly book again.
Better than expected
Usually just use the range. Eventually had a shot of the course. Greens and general playing areas in good condition. Clubhouse closed due to renovation also no pro shop. Again in my opinion it's a good course. Bunkers could do with a bit tlc but apart from that spot on.

Nice course but not much else there
Course is a nice course with some challenging holes, was in quite good condition other than all the bunkers being water logged. played on a Saturday and hardly saw another player out. Driving range is worn, and an empty field. There is a shop but it only sells bottles of coke and a couple of chocolate bars no golf accessories so make sure you have plenty of tees and balls because you can’t get any from here. Buildings all look derelict which is such a shame as the course itself was good
Not worth the money
30 quid for a very low standard in course. The only facility is a toilet through a closed bar with no lighting. No shoe cleaning, no rakes and bunkers terrible. Shame because the course could really be something.
Signage
I used to play this course a lot many years ago and it has certainly changed a lot. But the last time I played I actually missed a par 3 on the front nine as I couldn’t see where it was. It was only when I walked quite a distance to what I thought was the next tee to find out I had missed hole!!!! If I had decided to go back I would have impeded the players behind me so didn’t bother….. a but disappointing really
Shocking greens.
Greens were getting treat and were covered in sand and huge holes. Not worth £25 at all. Sand in the bunkers were poor also. Shame as this could be a lovely course.
Great layout and great conditions
Thoroughly enjoyed a round here - the only downside was the totally neglected bunkers - which were effectively unplayable.
Well
This course needs a lot of attention, and has no facilities, needs a few sign's for the next hole, such as between the first and second and twelfth and thirteenth.
Not for the slicers or hookers
Course pay and play while waiting an upgrade,
No competitions since beginning of covid.
Keep it on the fairway
Fairways second cut and greens are excellent but some bunkers need work.
Lot of trees so need to keep it fairly straight so long hitters and beginners (slicers) take spare ammo !
Poor hole signage, bunkers rake less,. a pity there is no club house.

Still a quality course with unlimited potential, always love playing here
Wow the course has massively improved
I last played this course 21 years ago, it’s like a different course, very good looking course now, makes you think about your shots, some challenging long par 3’s and 4’s as well as dog legs. Would definitely come back, best round I have ever shot in my life
Not worth the price
Granted it's in a great location between Newcastle and the coast. The course isn't great, bunkers where just mud, one par 3 had a thick layer if grass and roots in the sand. I'd happily pay 15 quid a round.. I think that's reasonable, considering you can drive 5-10 miles in any direction and get better courses for 25quid and under. I.e Ryton. Whitburn. Ravensworth.
