Enjoyable
Another great value round at this course. Bright n breezy, but course in good condition, greens were good, rough was lost ball, so don't go there. As ever great value, pace of play was good.
Decent course
This was the second time I’ve played here and the course is really growing on me. Pretty wide and open off the tee which is what I need! Only real downside is the tee boxes are not in great condition. The fairways are decent but the greens are superb, some of the best I’ve putted on. Quite a few really interesting holes. Definitely worth a visit.
Course layout.
The layout of this course is fantastic for beginners/mid handicap golfers.
Nice course, if you stay out of the rough!
Good value for money compared to other courses in the area. Nice friendly staff. The rough is very rough. If you end up in the rough you are 99% sure to lose your ball (but you’ll find a few others in there). Due to the price you do have a lot of youngsters playing who are slower than average. We had a few instances of youngsters skipping holes and randomly being on the greens we were playing on.
Course in pretty good condition and pretty open..
Greens are really short and fast
Excellent value
Played here many times, for the £15/18 you can often get on for is good value and a really good course to play when the weather is on your side. Only downside is a lot of tee times show available on golf now when booking but when you get there the place is rammed and you’re waiting around on tee boxes, played Monday / Friday and both were the same.
Not in good condition
Course was in very bad condition. Starting with tee boxes, they were bare poorly kept, fairways were like semi rough in places and then brown in others. Greens had big brown mud patches and differnt paced throughout.
Unfriendly staff
We were a group of 4 playing the pace in front of us. We had a staff member approach us shouting saying we are playing to slow.
Group ahead of us was constantly 200y in front of us. We proceeded to let group behind play though as they were playing quicker. 3 of the 4 were new to the to golf and wanted to try a full 18.
In the club house we were not notified that the club had competitions on. Which was the reason they tried to hurry us around the course.
Overall the course wasn’t bad but that 1 member of staff ruin the round
When then ended up finishing 5 mins after the group ahead of us.
Decent course
First time playing here and it was a decent course. Greens were in excellent condition and quite fast. Very undulating fairways on most holes which is a little annoying going up and down every 2 yards! A lot of the par 4s are quite the same and just straight but all in all it’s a decent course in the town centre and definitely worth the £15 I paid.

Played on saturday 8th march course was in good condition for time of year but the greens were something else as good as anywhere you woukd play very true and quick. Well worth a visit highly recommend.
Played with my son whilst visiting him, as he's at Uni in Newcastle.
The course is long a good challenge to lower handicaps yet very fair to higher handicaps.
The humps and hollows on many fairways make it interesting.
Staff and clubhouse good.
Weather was dry but ground very wet from recent rain but not any problem.
Worth a visit if in area.
