Well worth a round
Down to Covid all parts of the golf club was closed to the public put the course was in excellent condition fast the greens in top condition and well mentained I scored 1 under for my round loved it can't wait to get back 10-10
good day overall
Very disappointed the bar was closed, informed it opened at 6pm !!!!, missing an opportunityi think !
Good little course
Excellent greens. Bunkers still not in play. Well worth a visit to this tight layout.
Cracking course
myself and my son played today, we both really enjoyed the round, course was superb, greens excellent, so.e very interesting holes.
We'll definitely be back to play this superb course..
Tight course
Well maintained course. Bunkers not in play because of COVID. A number of bridle paths run through the course and it has the river on one side and the Newcastle to Carlisle railway on the other.
Game spoilt by a two ball that had us waiting for every shot. Just unfortunate for us.
The layout means that on some holes teeing off can be delayed to allow others to play.
Overall a tidy course that is worth visiting.
Lovely round at Ryton GC
Beautiful course. Immaculate greens. Mature woodlands. Well kept tee boxes. Nice length for amateur golf. Bunkers could be sandier/better kept (but understandable in face to COVID restrictions)
Course is great for beginners and for all round play
Great value for money
Not the longest course but well tended. For value for money and friendliness of staff it can’t be beaten. Snacks in bar were very good too.
Course is ok but the greens are an issue!
Booked through Teeoff times.co.uk which was a bargain price.
Course itself was ok but could do with some definition between fairways and rough as at times it all seems to merge into one. The only real downside is the greens which were very patchy and have signs of disease on them..
Ryton Golf Club
Playing on a Saturday afternoon was a good choice ...... the course was quiet and the pace of play was steady. There are some interesting golf holes and the course was in good condition although some greens were sandy and therefore difficult to judge pace. Overall a good day out and offering excellent value for money. Would recommend without hesitation.
Booked for 15:00, didn’t get to tee off until 15:20 as two 3-balls went off in front of us whilst we sat around the first tee area waiting like spare pricks at a wedding, yet when we booked there was no other groups booked on. Needless to say we got held up on almost every tee box.
