Redwood Canyon Thursday afternoon
The course is interesting. The fairways are relatively narrow and there is a creek on the right on most holes. Ball placement is important as there are many trees along the fairways and next to the greens. The speed on the green is reasonable, not too fast and not too slow. The cart paths are mostly unpaved and there are many pot holes. There are some bare spots in the fairway. Pace of play was good. We finished 18 holes in 4 hours when we teed off at 12:20 pm.

Great course for the price.
Not long but challenging and narrow front. Trees come to play along with a a creek throughout course. Great value for price. Not the best kept but better than some course that are more expensive. Highly recommend.

Needs TLC
I get COVID limitations, but this course is starting to look abandoned on some holes, particularly the stretch along Redwood Road 7-9.
Honestly #9 may be in the worst shape I've ever seen on a course.
The green complexes are over watered, while the fairways are brown, patchy grass if any!
I like the course, it's quite narrow so strategy is key. It's a lovely setting in the canyon, and for whatever reason the smoke from all the fires around NorCal missed the course, which was GREAT!

Terribly kept
Course was terribly kept. Poison oak in the roughs. Fairways were dirt/rock. Garbage cans were overflowing and had trash piled up next to the can on every hole. I know it was a cheaper 18 holes but I won’t play here again the course was in very bad shape.

Water the fairways, not paths
Good layout, the driver gets most of the day off. Tight fairways and trees make up for the short yardage. Fairways pretty dry but it seemed like paths and areas between green and next tee box were soaked. Greens were in good shape. Overall fun course.

COVID makes it very difficult
I don’t think my experience is anyone’s fault at the course. Understanding all courses need golfers to survive and it’s the summer season in the Bay Area, the tee time schedule is packed. Most of the golfers I witnessed were fairly new to the game or not serious. If you have a handicap under 10 and don’t like to drink beer while golfing, this place will not make you happy. The workers at this place are working hard and very professional. I’m going back because of them.

Fast play today
Course played fast today. Tee'd off at 8 am finished at 11:30 Course has some rough spots including many of the tee boxes. Greens were in good condition and rolling good. Overall the pace of play was worth playing there today.
