Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Horrible pace
I played Monday afternoon and we barely finished our round. We waited around 10 to 15 minutes in n the front 9, in the back 9 was a bit better around 8 to 10 minutes wait. In all the years I have played, this has been the longest wait I have ever experienced. The course is beautiful and very challenging. The restaurant is beautiful an not your average restaurant.
Great Historic Muni
There are many members of the course I think. It’s shorter and fun! Lots of water and beautiful scenery. Cart girl and Marshall there too. It’s great
Enjoyable golf
Play this course every time we holiday in Orlando. It a traditional golf course with large established trees and it's not hole after hole of hitting over lakes to the fairways. Course is always in reasonable condition and the staff are very friendly. Pace of play is usually ok and even teeing off later in the day you can get 18 holes in on the twilight rate.
Playing golf with my grandson, doesn’t get any better than that!
Enjoyable Day
Staff Great, Course in good shape, pace good. A great day on the links.
Dubsdread
Have played Dubsdread every time we come to Orlando. Only negative thing about our round was speed of play. Will definitely play here again. Otherwise enjoyed our round!
A good challenge for most anyone
Well maintained fairways and greens. IF you are in the rough it's another story. Lots of bare spots under trees if you're unfortunate enough to go there, with leaves and roots :( Good staff, very friendly. Disorganized on the holiday weekend as they ran out of carts and range balls by 2:20. Still, I will be back!
Awesome Value
First time at Dubsdread. Very good facilites, including range, carts, course. Supre Value! Group in front of us was quite slow but we really enjoyed the day.
Great Course and Staff. Slow Play.
Really enjoyed playing Dubsdread. Kudos to the staff and grounds crew. The course is great (and greens are near perfect.) However, the pace-of-play is quite slow. I gave up after completing the 10th hole (another player quit after finishing the front 9.) Look forward to playing it during the off-season when the course sees fewer rounds a day.
Pace of play
I have been playing at Dubsdread for many many years and while at times pace of play becomes an issue it’s usually due to some sort of event which is not always a problem. Today however was different, there was a group of 8 people with 5 kids and 3 adults all playing and none of them are golfers mind you. We spoke with the starter and all he did was promised us that it will not be a 5-6 hours round which it was.
Challenging but fun for a high handicapper
Second time here and it did not disappoint, only my play around it. Good tees, fairways, and great greens. But if you get in the rough then it is sandy-dirty and full of leaves. Most spots under trees have no grass and tons of roots showing. Challenging elevated greens. Clubhouse was very friendly but disorganized. Out of carts and range balls. Waited 15 min for a cart return from the course. But I'll play it again.
Love the staff but the course needs some maintenance
For the money you can’t beat it. The people are awesome. Nice little course. The ground is so hard though. I’m not sure what they can do but certain areas feel like you’re hitting the ball off of concrete. Which makes chipping a challenge. Plus it may be time to vacuum the leaves up. If you shoot tee to green it’s a nice little place to enjoy a round of golf. It not be prepared it may not be idea conditions. But again. It’s the people there that make this course so enjoyable and not pay so much attention to the other stuff.
Chuck the grouch
Have played this course a few times, although as a visitor from NJ, only get to play when in the area. Welcoming at the pro shop , and the starter. I recommend you play here !
