Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Wow

The course is in immaculate shape. Those greens are brutally fast and undulated which make them challenging. The fairways are beautiful along with the greens. I was concerned that with the recent rain we have been having it would make for Poor course conditions but I was wrong. Everything is green and pretty.

Super Fun and Great Views

As all the reviews state, greens are huge so getting less than 3 putts on every green is a huge victory! I play at a 10 index and had one four putt. You can easily be 60-90 feet from the pin but on the green. A very unique feature and makes for a fun time. Fairways are nice and roll out favorably when drive is struck well. Rough is challenging! Go play at 3 pm and enjoy the sunset in this site!

Fun Golf! Challenging Greens, Beautiful Representation of Area

I was in SF for business and took the day off to explore Napa and play 18. I got a great rate for rental clubs and greens fees. All in all, I'm happy with the value I got. The greens were fun! Big slopes and undulations made for a lot of 3 putts but they were consistently rolling all day.

Pace of play was bad- 5 hours 15 minutes. Granted it was a Friday at 12pm tee time but nothing was done to mitigate and we waited every hole.

Course has beautiful views and I would definitely go back.
